Kris Frost finally got his fourth star, and is now the number 19 OLB

Do we know when Kris is coming for his official? Is it Wisconsin now?

Wiscy sounds right. We've got two more home games, and I'm fairly certain he hasn't been mentioned for this week.

Yes, Wisconsin. I'm glad he's coming in later in the season now, too. It will give him a good chance to sit down and talk with everyone about NCAA rulings, where the coaches stand, etc. I know that has been somewhat of a concern for him.
Michigan is still in the lead, but I know he wants to hear about the future.

Thanks Tom

frost is much higher rated on rivals. his rating is one of the largest disparities i can remember btwn scout and rivals.

But I am genuinley surprised that Kellen Jones doesn't get any more recruiting love. He seems to be all over the field week in and week out and I'm thrilled to have him rocking Maize and Blue next year. I know he plays in Texas, perhaps it's because he isn't in the highest division, or is there something else to it?

A) There have been taller linebackers before
B) He doesn't have offers from any ball bustingly large programs
C) He's a texas linebacker that isn't committed to Texas
The aforementioned three may all be placed under the label "Why recruiting rankings mean nothing", as well.

He is already committed so sometimes recruiting sites don't feel the need to hype the recruit as much.
November 4th, 2010 at 5:08 PM ^
He only committed in late July. If that was true, guys like OH DE Steve Miller who've been committed for ages (it seems) wouldn't be five stars. Which, you know, they are.

Agreed. Jones is having a great season but does lack the size that would project to the next level like you said. High 3 low 4 star is about right on in my opinion. Which holds as much value as Scout's. Jack shit.

Kellen Jones is actually ranked lower on Rivals, a 3 star. Pretty surprising.
November 4th, 2010 at 5:11 PM ^
He switched positions last year, so he was a late bloomer, and he's 6'1. The rivals guys try to rate the kids based on "NFL Preparedness", and that kind of size is normally a cause for concern in the NFL. Not saying they can't/don't succeed (because they do), the rivals guys just look at that and mark him down.

I'm not doubting you but do you find it odd that kids who are going to college are being rated on their "NFL Preparedness"? Why would they not just rate them on their "College Footbal Preparedness"? You would think the number of great college players who never make it in the NFL would be enough to change their rating basis. Plus if I wanted to know if a kid is going to be an NFL star I'll just listen to Matt Millen or that sausage from ESPN with the perfect hair. (ziiiiing)

Is he ever going to come to town?

way to read the thread before asking a question already answered

The same can be said to you, sir.
