While everyone is crying about OSU's class, they aren't even noticing that Harbaugh is on the verge of signing Michigan's best class in the modern recruiting/website era.

your point was to show Luck going to Stanford, but it also shows how radically superior Michigan's current recruiting is to what JH was able to get at Stanford. The first recruit is similar, after that, next guy is a 3*. Literally not one other 4* or above. And yet he won..

No, actually my point was that his second class at Stanford had one good recruit and a bunch of 2 and 3 star no-names, and this was what built one of the most dominant programs in football at that time (and is still successful because of the foundation he laid).

Imagine what he will do with a perennial top 5 class.

That "next guy" happens to be former first round draft pick and current starting guard for the Steelers David Decastro.

 

Jonathan Martin was also in that class and was a 2nd round pick.  Drevno knows how to develop guys on the line that hadnt been previously ruined.

The difference in your statement that gets me is that you stated: "Harbaugh is on the verge of signing..."

Much of the crying about OSU's class is because all those 5-stars actually verbally committed - whereas we are "in" on several Michigan leans.

I realize a verbal is about as solid as the paper it is NOT written on - but I'd much rather have verbals from a ton of 5-stars versus hoping some 5-stars are trending our way.

It is possible we could end up with 8 current or former 5 stars in this class, assuming I am not missing anyone. ( Wilson, Mcaffery, Collins, Harris, Leatherwood, DPJ, Anthony, Solomon)

Nice! Good to hear. Our potential LB class could be so deep if we get Anthony, Singleton and Ross (plus maybe Willie Gay). I feel like all these guys are college ready.
