2009 so far: 309 Points allowed 2008: 347 Two weeks ago, I thought this was impossible to set a new record. Now, not so much. Yikes, Yikes!!

...please no more "first time in 40 years" and "records". A lot of it is just a product of the consistency we have been fortunate enough to experience. We wanted to revamp the program - there is a cost. The sun will come out tomorrow.

The program is in great hands. I thought the winning would start this year, but the "experts" were right and I was wrong. I still think, though, that with a healthy Forcier and a healthy Molk, we would be looking at seven or eight wins right now and talking about what a great year it has been. It isn't really a great stretch to add MSU, Illinois, and Purdue to the W side of the ledger with both players playing and healthy. It amazes me that the team, even with its size/age disadvantage, was that close to being "back" this year. In a few years, when we have the luxury of retrospect, this year won't look nearly as bad as it does to some now.

...for saying that. i agree completely. I think Rodriguez is the right coach, right place, right time. Most "experts" were saying 5 wins for sure, maybe 6-7. They were right. We went 4-0, the schedule was backloaded and that's where we are. The loss of Molk was huge. The role of the center is critical. Most centers are durable and can be taken for granted, until they are gone, especially on a line that is otherwise thin and inexperienced. Botched snaps alone cost us plenty. I should also add that is not a knock on Moosman - that is just how difficult the position can be, especially in a no-huddle offense where plays are being called when he is lined up.

After tomorrow: Wipe the slate clean, since all of the great records set will be diminished (including all time BT win percentage)...and the shitty records will be firmly and freshly in place.... Cut bait and start over with a better coach who understands BT play and what it takes to succeed at Michigan. Otherwise, you can count on more good records falling in 10 (are there any left???????) and bad ones taking root. Now...won't you please excuse me while I go vomit. Go Blue.
