I can't wait to see 110,000 cheering for our Wolverines.
Please hurry September

You mean 60,000 cheering and 50,000 sitting down telling them to shut up?

Outstanding views of the stadium, can't wait to be there for the home opener. My favorite day of the year is when my season tickets show up in the mailbox!

What is the finished project on the exterior Main Street concourse supposed to look like when all said and done?

Close to the other side but without the tunnel/stairs. The little arcways, I think they should glass it all in for warmth.

I'm curious too DY....according to the original fly over video and renderings, the archs are all going to to be bricked..but I would have thought that would have started at the same time as the rest of the bricking on the two structures.

I still say it would be awesome to have seats on top of the structures

Remember playing NFL games on old nintendo? That's what watching a game would be like, little dots.
Until we get upperdeck in the endzones,I say we get a standing room only behind the top rows of endzones!!

I doubt it. Since Michigan stadium isnt' steep, I'll bet you could still see everything pretty clearly. It would be like the top row at ohio stadium. Something like this:

I'm excited for ncaa 11 football with the new stadium!!!

the new stadium probably won't make it in until 2012/2013. For some reason there's a turnaround on getting them in.

It looks great. One question: how are they going to get those construction vehicles (photo #12) out of there?
January 29th, 2010 at 11:33 PM ^
Martin is going to tear them apart with his bare hands and eat them.
January 30th, 2010 at 12:04 AM ^
My question is: how did they get them in there?
January 30th, 2010 at 10:32 AM ^
The demo company torched the bleachers out of there, and the ground level concourse is even where they came in at. You could drive right in to where they are. There is a ton of space where the back side/stairwells and elevator area used to be. I have been working there since Feb 09.

They're going to let them sink into the ground, just like the crane did way back when.
January 30th, 2010 at 12:41 AM ^
Yeah it's pretty crazy to think they just left a crane under the field. Whatever, just leave it there.

What will be built in place of the old press box? Is this going to be part of the new premium seating or will it similar to the existing bench seating? (EDIT)- Ignore this question, I just read the other post that provides an image.
