Hi guys, I'm in New Orleans for a conference. What is the best place to catch the Michigan game tomorrow amongst friends? Thanks for your help!

The alumni association (and any other Michigan fans) will be watching the game at 'The Prytania Bar.' It's always a good time! Geaux Blue!

Even for games on the BTN? I tried to go out for one of our games on the network last year and a guy who owns a bar by my house says he'd tried multiple times to get the BTN, but was told that the BTN isn't available to commercial estbalishments in New Orleans for reasons unknown (SEC network).

Was there for 2 weeks for work, watched all the games at Harbor Seafood and Oyster Bar. Pretty sure I ate there 2 dozen times, because the food was so good. They put on whatever game you wanted, but there should be a proper alumni event in the area.

If you want oysters I think the happy hour at http://www.lukeneworleans.com/ is second to none (though the blind pelican has substantially worse oysters for a third of the price during happy hour (25 cents an oyster)).

If you want poboys, parkway bakery is a favorite of mine. Cochon butcher has the best muffaletta in the city (and everything else they have is amazing).

Skip bourbon and head to frenchmen st for entertainment, and head further into the marigny/down to bywater if youre liking what youre seeing.

I imagine there's a New Orleans UM chapter that'll be at a bar somewhere in town.

If you manage to find time to sneak away to some restaurants, here's what I recommend:

-Pascal's Manale - authentic New Orleans BBQ shrimp. Place has been around forever, and it's where I fell in love with shrimp. Bring a bib, though. It gets messy.
-Jacque Imo's - among the best comfort food I've had anywhere. It's in uptown off of Carrolton, so it won't be walkable, but it might be my favorite restaurant in the city. They don't take reservations but even if you have to wait, it's worth it.
-Yo Mama Bar and Grill - hole in the wall on St. Peter's St in the quarter. Best burger in New Orleans. Get the peanut butter and bacon burger and you won't be sorry you did.

I am actually looking for a bar in the outer banks today as well. Thought my house would get big ten network, I should have known better. But any suggestions would be helpful. I am thinking about streaming it on Big ten but would rather watch it on my tv.

Blue fan writing from Nola. Prytania Bar is the spot. Otherwise Cooter Browns. There are usually Big Ten fans at Tracey's, too. If you're looking for NFL action on Sunday, Manning's has all the games. In the Quarter check out Jimanji. Cooters is great for NFL also.
