New offer Reagan Williams TE/FB/LB
Offer as per Sam Webb tweet. Under the radar guy who is committed to Stanford and is on the Farm this weekend. Has a 4.0 GPA. Looks tough at LB and can really block some people at TE or H back as well.

Hell of a combination. Harbaugh trying to build a strong foundation here.

foundation. It seems to me he's looking to fill up the class to avoid being short upperclassmen depth down the road.

He literally said that those are the players he looks for. Tough and Smart. . .Everything else falls into place after that. . .

Is Jim Harbaugh really turning the tide in the rivalry?

He's getting all the Win-now-me-me-me-don't-they-know-how-much-I-paid-for-tix-so-they-better-win fans to actually get along with the I-love-Michigan-but-losing-doesn't-affect-my-ability-to-function-like-a-human-being fans.
I never thought those 2 rival fan-bases could agree on anything....

Good motor. Plays physically. Only negative is short arms.

The kid makes plays, but does he have elite speed for a linebacker? Not sure...we are competing with OSU. Urban recruits linebackers with elite speed. Look at the National Championship game....they had as much, or even more speed than Oregon...Michigan needs to recruit like Urban in order to keep up....then Harbaugh will coach them up

No. They bulldozed Oregon. On defense, yes they got quicker, but they stuffed the run game, which they never seemed to go away from. OSU still got burned quite a bit on pass coverage. No one thought Oregon had elite defense, but even then, they still recovered a few turnovers that they just didn't capitalize on. We have one of the deepest line backing corps in the B1G. The D-line is our issue at the edges. Harbaugh and Urban have completely different styles of offense and defense has not been our weak point these past four years.

Those kids are great on fake reverses.

If Harbaugh is ok with him who are we to question that.
(Btw we go to coldwater quite often in the summer. )

FWIW, I don't see Reagan Williams being more than a fullback at the Michigan level. I'm not really concerned about his lack of speed as a linebacker.

or is it too late? I saw he committed way back in July and he is on his official to Stanford this weekend.
January 17th, 2015 at 2:18 PM ^
Nobody has a reaction from him yet (AFAIK) because he's on his official visit to Stanford. I can't say whether there's a legitimate shot at this point or not. However, I do know that he was very excited about Michigan early in the process and very well could have committed if an offer came earlier. However, I think it became pretty apparent last spring/summer that Hoke and Co. were not going to offer, at least not until late in the process, so he went another way.

JH needs somebody to be a physical FB blocker to fit his run scheme....and the FBs we have will be running out of eligibility soon.
