Well played sir, well played!!!!
by looking at the thread on the premium board you can see a reference to "SE coaches" which is probably a reference to Detroit Southeastern. Ed Davis is a OLB prospect from Southeastern who did not have a UM offer and I am going to guess that he is the recruit in question.
Pure guesswork on my part, though.
i can haz linebacker? please?!
Needum lineybacker
I can't believe we are offering another three star! Don't our coaches know that the only way to win is to get five stars!!!!
Edit: Way to pick up facetiousness guys, thanks for the neg bang though.
... a three star pospect isnt the end of the world, kirk ferentz wins with 1 and 2 star players, and zook brings in 4 and 5 star prospects and dosent win.
It was a joke.
... out after you changed it, but i can't edit my first post
No way, MSU owns the state. Everyone in Michigan hates RR, so the in-state recruits would never want to come here.
(And yeah, that's also sarcasm. Hopefully this (if it is Davis) continues to help put the "U-M doesn't like Michigan talent" to rest.)
Wow somebody from Southeastern. That would be a big positive.
I would rather take another linebacker than a quarterback because we already have four solid quarterbacks. We could use good covering linebackers if it is Ed Davis.
I don't mean this to sound like I am being a jerk but.... who is the 4th solid QB? Last I checked Conelius Jones is a project with nice upside.
Good luck with the recruiting site, but as a part-time web developer I would advise that you invest in a slightly cleaner design for your site. Not saying you need to use a generic template, but is simply too many blinking links and blue-on-maize text for my monitor.
I concur, but on the condition he keeps the virtual fish tank. It's only been a few minutes but I already love those little guys
I saw we made contact with Antonio Poole recently, as well
Is that legal?
LSCrepair your right I should have said three because Jones is like you said a project.
here is a highlights reel for you to view
...Mister Everything for Southeastern. Love the versatility: LB, WR, RB, punt return, kickoff coverage... Appears to have great closing speed.
Likey
I love his explosion through the point of contact when tackling and the way he runs with an "F you, you're not tackling me" mentality.
I hope he is the suprise visitor, that they spoke of today.
TomVH confirmed on the twitter.
Davis is a guy that's been at a lot of camps, and has been under the eye of the Michigan coaching staff for some time. This isn't a "OMG just a three-star no offers!!" kinda guy, but a very solid player who's performed for the staff and many others numerous times.
Here's to hoping he's a wolverine eh?
Very good chance he will be, sooner rather than later.
Just for the sake of hope......
Then we'll have a good sized linebacker to add to the team.
A 12'5" 420 lb. linebacker? I like the sound of that. Then we'd have two Hulks on defense... at least for one season. This idea is full of win.
How 'bout we just welcome the guy?
Here are my thoughts on him, in case you're interested. He looks like a pretty good prospect:
