I just asked my grandson what he thought and he asks, why then is NCAA "allowed" to use players' heights/weights/playing attributes.  You're telling me a good lawsuit would ignore the fact that, say, Michigan has 3 QB's who are the proper races, heights, weights, speeds, strengths, yrs. of exp., etc... and pin the entire case on a player's hairstyle as a way to establish a link between the game-players and real-players?  Bullshit.

EA does not do accurate heights, weights, hometowns. Those options are customizable in the game.

They do races and jersey numbers. That's the most they can do. If they were going to put everything in, the players of ALL 121 Division I-FBS schools featured in the game would have to sign a contract which would require a college football players union. Ultimately, they would want a piece of the pie beause their names are in the game, which violates student rights.

In Madden, every player has a right to not be featured in the game if they choose so. That's why Bill Belichick is called "NE Coach" in the games.

I can't wait to get this game! NCAA football and MLB the show are the 2 games I get every year! Although not much ever changes in the football series, it's just one of those things that gets me hyped for the fall!

being tackled in open field by one guy, no dreads, wrong jerseys, and still nobody sits on the benches?! Oh well I'll still buy it.

They tried to include it, but you can't turn an 11-foot tall invisible friend into a playable character; that'd be no fun. Plus Tacopants is already virtual in real life, so he'd be meta-virtual in EA's game, which is just to abstract for most people's taste
