New NCAA 11 Dynasty (ps3) - One spot left for whoever wants it.

It has been about a month since a NCAA 11 dynasty thread has been posted and I'm having trouble finding one's that is consistently moving at a good pace (ie, people say in their descriptions that they are fast paced but then don't do anything for three weeks), so I'm going to start one and was wondering if anyone would be interested. Below are some of the rules that will be inforced:

  • All American (Difficulty and Recruting)
  • 6 minute quarters
  • Will advance a week every 24 to 36 hours.
  • No Time Savers
  • No resets unless you have a valid reason. I won't kick out anyone for resetting games until it starts becoming continuous. I understand that something might happen (game freezes due to bad connection, etc).
  • The rosters were updated at the beginning of the month (used gamingtailgate's rosters) so the names are there, but roster changes since then may not be accounted for (like Dorsey, Turner, Masoli, etc).
  • Twelve teams, with no more than 3 coming from the same conference. It would be nice to see the teams spread out all the BCS conferences (good mid majors, Boise St, TCU, BYU, Notre Dame are fine as well).
  • You will play 2 user non conference games in which you will need to schedule each season. I've found that it's easiest to schedule home and home series which each other. You can use this thread or PS3 messaging to set these up.

If you are interested in joining, choose a team and leave your PSN screen name so I can send out the invites. Right now, I have chosen Florida State as my team but may switch prior to starting based on other team selections to maintain balanace. I hope to start this ASAP. The password is mgoblog2011.

I'm game, if we can stretch the advancement to 2 to 3 days.  That's still two to three games a week..  Sometimes with the home life, family, and work etc it's tough to get a game in each day.  I can understand not waiting 7 days.

We need at least one, preferiably two from the SEC. There are decent teams in the Big East if anyone wants them. Another Big Ten or Pac Ten wouldn't hurt. Also, TCU, Notre Dame, BYU are good mid majors/independents.

This is what is avaiable for teams:

  • SEC (1 or 2 teams) - If 1 team then from the SEC East
  • ACC (0 or 1 team - already have 2)
  • Big Twelve North (0 or 1 team - have 2 in Big Twelve South)
  • Big Ten (1 team, not including Michigan - Brow1812)
  • Pac Ten (1 team)
  • Big East (0 or 1 team - not necessary)
  • Mid-Major or Notre Dame (0 or 1 team - not necessary)

There are only four (not including Brow1812 and kal48104 who have signed up but not registered) spots available in this dynasty so all of the items above won't be filled and thats fine.

Teams in bold haven't joined yet. Between clifford_foster and michiganfanforlife, one should take a Big Ten team while the other should take a Pac Ten team. If either one doesn't want to play, then we'll have a spot opened. Once all twelve teams are registered, I will post more information. I will probably advance to week 1 tomorrow (we need to figure out non-conference schedules first) and then start it up.

I'm planning on creating a proboards site (free, quick, and easy message board, proboards.com) that we will use for communication between teams, scheduling non conference and user games, etc. It should be easier than everyone messaging me their schedules, user games, questions, etc. and there is no way online to sort through a bunch of  messages.

More information will be posted about that (and a link) once we have all 12 teams registered. I'll post it here and online. Just waiting for the last three teams to register (at work right now so can't send michiganfanforlife his invite).

Just make sure you have your preseason complete (recruting board, redshirts, depth chart) done. We will work on the schedules once everyone is registered (hopefully tonight) and then we'll start.
