New Hype-ish Video

Submitted by FanNamedOzzy on

I have been working on this video for a few months now and am pretty excited with the result. The song (A Poor Man's Memory by Explosions in the Sky) inspired the creation of this video. Enjoy!

I hope in some of these videos next year that our big game highlights will actually be in games we win. It sucks seeing highlights of Denard's 2012 run vs Ohio State knowing we loss in an infuriating Borges(ian) way.

Very, very nice. I knew the hype videos were coming now that August is upon us, but I am glad we are setting the bar on the high side here. Like someone said, there's a little pain in some of the footage, knowing how some of those turned out, but even at that, it was very well put together.

Understand you are trying to tell a story, but man did you go deep into the suffering...DG lying on the field at ND, the Heisman pose by Utah, the whole concussion thing, aquote from Rome, and the fist pump by Urban. You made us sit through 2 minutes of shit before the good stuff.

I was worried that I was focusing too much on the negative in the beginning...but then I remembered how pumped I was before last season and how painful each of those moments were. I felt like it was essential to go through all of the agonizingly painful moments in the video to appreciate this next era.

Holy shit those first few minutes of the video were disgusting. It reminded me of just how painful it was wearing the block M last season. But you have to know where you came from to know where you are going, and this program is ready to be restored. Can't wait for some punch-you-in-the-mouth, take-shit-from-nobody football. And it's going to begin in less than a month. Go Blue!!

is off the schedule for foreseeable future. That cheap shot on Gardner to end a blow-out game was such a D-bag move.  Max Redfield doesn't have to have his head on a swivel this year.   Got a freebee.  Enjoy it,Max.  Here's hoping someone else lights him up -- legally and cleanly of course. A little Hindu karma over Luck o' the Irish.

Hope like hell we somehow manage to draw them in a bowl game. If we do, I hope there are video reminders of that play up in Schembechler Hall every day leading up to the game, and one of our guys just drills his cheap shotting ass into the ground.

Of course, I think I'm more pissed that not one of our guys came to Gardner's defense. Went out of that rivalry barely giving a whimper. Damn we were a soft, soft football team.

Exactly. No one wanted to play Michigan before 2007 or so. I remember during the Oregon game in 2003 (I know, I know), they talked about how Mike Belotti's pep talk was basically him telling his team "you're not playing the helmet, you're not playing the fight song. You're playing a bunch of guys, just like you." Our tradition and history of winning was a factor in every game. That is where I would love to see us be.

Thank you.
I have not been able to bring myself to watch many hype videos this offseason, and had not enjoyed a single one... until now. I hoped I'd never see any of 2014 again, but it is what it is. It's over and we can move on. I'm glad we got Jim Harbaugh and this staff, and I'm excited to see them rebuild the program. Go Blue!

reminder of where we are starting from but, it will make the Harbaugh rise even more special and appreciated. I can't see any way we don't improve even if it isn't reflected in the record right away.

I read the John U Bacon piece about how the B1G Media Days press conference went and how half the room emptied out after Harbaugh spoke and Rutger's coach came in and how Dantonio and Meyer were asked question after question about Harbaugh. This will fire these teams up and make for tougher games but I see Michigan overcoming this in most of the games.

I can't wait for the season to start.

Very well done video.

If you didn't see True Detective, this translates to "that was brilliant."

I regret that I have but one upvote to give to this video.

That is really really good and refreshing to watch. Thank you. Remembering and facing the past is essential right now because it means we want the truth as a team -- not just ungrounded hope. Like Harbaugh's recent talk at the media day about how when you get to the field you are "coming clean" -- you face and embrce the truth. Right now the truth is that we have fallen way below what we used to be, but we are doing the work it takes to get back there. And if we keep facing the truth and putting in the hard work... we will be even better than we've ever been, and we won't need hype videos that are painful to watch.
