New FB Jersey Mockups
Yes I know that the likelihood of the jerseys posted by Brian today are about as likely to ever be the away jersey as The Shredder is to succeed RichRod or anyone else as the football coach.
That said, the first thing I thought when I looked at the rendering was, damn....that would make a pretty decent soccer jersey (or even lacrosse for that matter). I could see that and wouldn't have issue with it.
So I pose to you, are there different standards within the Michigan community for our revenue versus our non-revenue sports?
As a soccer player, I can easily state that I would never wear a soccer jersey like that. Can't speak for lacrosse.
So if you played at Michigan and they said those were your new jerseys, you'd leave the team?
I would just always rock the "I just scored a goal and tore off my jersey" look. Sun's out, guns out baby.
I did think the back looked like a soccer jersey, but I can't see that front design going anywhere.
My intramural team would be more than happy to wear those.
I dont know if Michigan will ever go that "Oregon" on their unis, but not for football.
Every other major sport (well, hockeya nd basketball at least) have Maize jerseys, but football wont
I could be wrong, but I thought I saw somewhere where Michigan had all yellow jerseys for one year in the 50's or 60's.
I think you may be mistaken and thinking of the all whites they used on the road for a season or two? I certainly don't recall any all yellow concoction. This seems to be a recent phenomenon.
the only sport whose players are flamboyant and over-the-top enough (but will kick your ass anyway) is rugby.
As a soccer player, I can easily state that I would definately wear a soccer jersy like that. Can't speak for lacrosse.
popular to like them, but I really DID like the all white away jersey from the mid 70's.....just not sure WHY I liked them:
i agree, those are pretty sharp. they should do all maize!!!!!(be gentle on the negging)
Classic striping, non-outlined numbers, no name on back, appropriate maize (not current highlighter yellow), white sox, black cleats. I could handle these being the road uni's again.
My favorite part was the tight Blue-Maize-Blue sleeve striping. Not sure it would still work on the new (essentially) no sleeve jerseys.
We totally rocked the spread option in the 70s.
Can't wait to see what these supposed new ones look like.
just different material.
We're talking about jerseys! I think the Shredder did a very creative job. We could recruit with wings on our jerseys and helmets.
Everyone can Order Now! I'll be standing by!
