New data point - JH will (probably) be asked about Michigan job at 49ers presser

Submitted by karpodiem on
Welp, I think we will have a very clear idea of his intentions by this (Sunday) evening. An evasive answer would be a great sign.

I don't think he's the type of guy that would say "I'm not interested in the Michigan job"  - this would reduce any potential leverage in negotiating with Michigan or anyone else.

Arghhh....

like we'll think he's a valid option come Monday. Just a feeling but I think he finally shoots it down by tomorrow. That potential guy punch will suck for a bit but we should prep for whoever else it's going to be. As Brian said: rollercoaster. I think it's almost over and our chests are going to hurt.

Bay Area media reporting mutual interest between Raiders and Harbaugh. Recycled pieces citing the NFL Network and the Boston Globe, so not worthy of a link or a thread.

I would think any answer given after the game in regards to Michigan wouldn't mean much. It's not like he's going in there unprepared for that type of question.

His answer wouldn't mean much. Why would you reveal your job intentions to the media? To what purpose?

If he said he was keen for the UM job, why? Too many repercussions with current & potential employers should the job not materialize. Easy enough to let UM know your true feelings via back channels, especially if you're Harbaugh with connections galore.
You don't need the media to do your talking.
