New BHGP Podcast Theme Song: Blurred Lines (Iowa Style)
Black Heart Gold Pants, the chaotic neutral Iowa sbnation blog, probably has the best sense of humor of any of the college football blogs. This is probably a necessary condition for surviving Iowa football on a consistent basis.
Their podcast has a tradition of co-opting popular summer songs by applying BHGP's particular brand of anarchic semi-despondency: last summer's version was Call Me Maybe.
They've just debuted their new theme song based on Robin Thicke's Blurred Lines. Here's a sample of the corn-fed Iowa goodness:
'We’re gonna 4-and-8 ya, punt from the 38 ya, lose to I-O-Wa State ya"

that it might be the best music video ever.... but only because it spawned parodies such as "Cougars".

Are you talking the edited or unedited version?

...devolving into a debate about OT marking so don't take this as a criticism or an invitiation to debate the intricacies of MGoThread titling.
The B1G and B1G teams are not OT, per Brian. Recommend you retitle the thread, OP.

If you can’t hear what I’m trying to say
It’s because we dropped the call again
Maybe we’re drinking beer, maybe we’re drinking wine
Maybe both at same time
Here comes the sonic boom
Gonna incinerate ya
And iTunes tagged it for its sometimes explicit nature
We’re gonna 4-and-8 ya, punt from the 38 ya, lose to I-O-Wa State ya
It’s time to listen to the podcast
Black Heart Gold Podcast (x3)
It’s the podcast
Don’t blow a gasket
Got a question we’ll ask it
When’s it time for basketball (?)
Podcast
Black Heart Gold Podcast (x3)
It’s the podcast
And then we lock eyes, talkin’ ’bout Hawkeyes, with lots of blog guys
What do they make traps for/when you got the stretch play
What they make 4-verts for/horizontal every day
But we still carentz about Kirk Ferentz
What rhymes with Ferentz
Here comes the sonic boom
Gonna incinerate ya
And iTunes tagged it for its sometimes explicit nature
We’re gonna 4-and-8 ya, punt from the 38 ya, lose to I-O-Wa State ya

That song was funny, well done BHGP. I still like the old one even better, where they have the muppet voice singing "black heart gold pants" over and over again.

Solid listen with EDSBS Spencer Hall:

They definitely have the most original theme songs. I still prefer last year's "Call Me Maybe."

Ramzy says if Meyer was an accountant, left a job under dubious circumstances, then got a new job, no one would hold those against him like they are now holding his actions in Gainsville against him.
Yes they would! That kills me. His analogy is saying basically if he cooked the books at a past company, then left and got a job somewhere else, no one would care that he cooked the books at that last place, just don't do it again here. Just a terrible analogy that I wanted to complain about for no real reason.
