The latest installment of the Bartelstein Blog is up at mgoblue (LINK:  http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-baskbl/archive/082411aab.html.)

There are several things he comments on.

  1. The team really loves the atmosphere of a big game where Crisler is rocking.
  2. Stu Douglass is doing an incredible job on defense.
  3. Trey Burke is an great, clutch player, and guys on the team knew this almost from the beginning of his time there last summer.

Also at mgoblue, Brandon posts about how tremendous it was to see Denard and Roundtree cheering at the basketball game, and how this reflects what is right with college sports.

...to watching the next iteration of The Journey on BTN for scenes from Tuesday night. Per JBart, it should be a lot of FUN.

Brandon is right on the mark. It was great to see Denard and Roy particiipating in the Maize Rage right behind Izzo. It was a game long photo bomb and provided a stark contrast for the natoinal audience. Among the cool things: Denard taking off his letter jacket and donning a maize rage tshirt.  That action itself says volumes.

As I noted on Twitter, ESPN highlighting NFL veterans and U-M alumni LaMarr Woodley and Larry Foote (and an unidentified Marcus Ray) and Fab Fiver Jimmy King plus current players Denard and Roy (although Tirico failed to mention Roy) attendance at the game is immensely valuable to the Michigan brand.
