Bo Pelini and Tad Wieman look so much alike that they could be family---and I immediately looked for him to see if his artwork Tad bore that same resemblance. And yet, Jerry Hanlon and Jack Harbaugh ARE pictured. Jim's dad, Patriarch of the Harbaugh Family, one of Bo's assistants, but Jack wasn't a Michigan Head Coach. And although Hanlon is one of the most beloved Michigan assistant coaches ever, I'd have to also include Fred Jackson and Greg Mattison if staffers are going to be depicted in the mural.

Some neat trivia

The youngest head coach in Michigan history is the first one.

Frank Crawford was hired at age 21, one year removed from his playing career at Michigan.

Where is Gary Moeller? He had a better record that some of the 'lesser' coaches pictured there. I suppose he got bounced because of the dubious circumstances of his dismissal, but that doesn't erase his accomplishments.

Jeff Riger turned this piece of art work into a topic yesterday on 97.1. He wondered if Lloyd got the shaft being off to the side and said it was proof that Harbaugh is already more popular than him. Now that I've finally seen the pic, it's not what he made it out to be. I was expecting Lloyd to be featured in a tiny sliver in the corner, the way he was talking.
