New 2014 Offer: OL Jamarco Jones ($)
Does anyone have a video or some statistics regarding Jones? I also wanted to say RIP to Bob Chappuis, who was before my time, but was always well regarded by everyone. Definitely one of the toughest players I ever saw, though it may have helped that he was probably 26 or 27 in his final years playing (granted, a lot of other players were as well in that era).
For future reference, I've posted highlight videos for all of the 2014 recruits in the 2014 offer list.
He's got an OSU offer as well, he should be a big time prospect.
It seems like there's already more 2014 recruits with both Michigan and OSU offers than there were 2013 recruits. It's going to be interesting.
in the biz that one of the reasons people dislike Urban's recruiting tactics is that he does little valuation of his own and simply recruit the guys other big time schools recruit. Perhaps just an observation by those that have been snake oiled by the Urb's I don't know.
Yeah doesn't really apply to Michigan's two most recent 2014 offers at least... Jones and Webb both had OSU offers prior to Michigan's offer.
Webb did? Where do you see that?
I have heard from non-Michigan sources that Meyer doesn't really like the recruiting part of the job, and that the drama/effort takes its toll on him. Maybe the NFL would be a better fit for him, since you can draft/sign guys without having to suck up to them for two or three years to get their NLI...
We've had (mostly) good luck in Illinois. Here's to the trend continuing!
Jordan Diamond sarcastically agrees with you.
Yes, that's probably why he said "mostly".
Jamarco is another member of the Core6 program that has helped develop players like Ty Isaac, Ethan Pocic, Laquon Treadwell and 2014 LB target Nyles Morgan (among others). It's becoming a pipeline target of sorts.
Cool. Let's get this Core 6 pipeline going strong.
