New 17 BBall PG Target - Zack Dawson
Had a chance to watch this kid play in Hampton for EYBL session 3 and was impressed. Like him much more than our current 17 PG targets in West and Roberts.
#66 player nationally according to 247's TOP 247

Baruti taking the TOEFL test tomorrow, but I think the staff may be slow playing a bit to guage other options.
Does anyone know if you get TOEFL scores right away or does it take some number of weeks to normalize results?
If I recall correclty, at least the last ones I took to apply to grad school, the scores were available immediately after you finish the test. Same as the GMAT.
Proud to announce senior wing Harold Baruti has committed to the @Runnin_Utes & Coach @LKrystkowiak#Pac12 #Utah pic.twitter.com/RQl35duLkP

This doesn't seem like a big loss in the long run, but man will they be thin on the wing next year.
Baruti is exactly the kind of forward (athletic, physical) that M needs to recruit more of.
We have 2 scholarships open and nobody on the radar (at least in the public). I'm giving Beilein the benefit of the doubt for now, but having unused scholarships is pretty crazy.
It's bizarre that a high-profile program that played for the NC just three years ago and made it to the Elite 8 the year after that is now having so much trouble just filling out its roster.
I'd like to see some targets with size (and ability).
Love the size... really love the size. That's the type of PG we need.
Great interview. I'm a little tired of every athlete on the face of the planet talking about proving the doubters wrong, but overall this is the type of attitude I love to hear from prospective U of M kids. I want guys who are motivated, unentitled, and humble, but not meek. This sounds like a kid we'd be lucky to have. He says he's getting interest from some other top tier programs. Here's hoping he goes Blue!
Sounds like he could be a good fit for the offense, adding some size to the backcourt. This part of the interview caught my attention.
ZD: I love to use the pick and roll and go iso at times. I know I will make a play for my team majority of the times I get the ball. I love to play defense and rebound, I feel that it is a big part in my game. Right now, I’m working more on my pull up.
Like him much more than our current 17 PG targets...I initially interpreted this sentence incorrectly and thought JB had 17 potential PG recruits lined up. Which would be a lot of targets.
Thanks for posting.
