Need a sticky reposity of MGoMyths

Submitted by Topher on
It would be great to have an easily-accessible repository of Michigan myths and the actual truths, with tons of sources collected in one place for easy reference when trolls, opponents or Freep reporters find themselves in factual fantasy. Some starter items might include: "Tom Brady never started at Michigan" "Rich Rodriguez ran off Ryan Mallett" "Justin Boren got a raw deal from RR and isn't a colossal douche" "Michigan was paying its basketball players"

Tacopants didn't win the Heisman. Michigan State has better family values. Antonio Bass was the greatest quarterback in Michigan history. Brian's hair is not the source of his power. Jim Tressel does not drink wine coolers. Guns do kill people, but so does Lamar Woodley. Ohio is not the worst state ever, it's the worst state, province, or other national subdivision ever. Pants are overrated. Michigan plays night games, and they start at 3:30pm. Maize jerseys will never happen.

Ha, thanks. I went to the Sun Bowl this week and on the plane ride home a whole bunch of college football/Michigan issues came to me so I wrote them down and have been putting them up today. I have a few more in mind but I am saving them for later so I don't wear out my posting welcome. Familiarity can annoy people even if some people like what you do, just ask Tim Tebow.
