Need Help From Those Who Have Been to Iowa For Game

Submitted by BluesinceNew on
This weekend 16 of us student aged males have rented an RV and are leaving AA bright and early Friday morning for a long weekend in Iowa City. I am looking for as much advice/help on all topics that might be included in the experience once at Iowa, including but not limited to - parking....location, price, relation to campus - Bars... The best, the worst - Food Joints.. "" "" - Any other information that might be helpful for 16 young adults renting a vehicle way bigger than they should ever be responsible for and driving it 8 hours cross country for a great weekend. Any help?

Park in town and take the train. The lot is in Coralville and I think the tickets are $10 this year. It will save you all kinds of trouble getting there and parking. As far as driving, go slower that you think you need to at all corners. Remember that the back end really hangs out back there. Be very careful at all gas stations for the overhang and the turning. Stay away from drive thrus, and in fact try to stop at food places with truck lots. If there is any wind, slow down. Don't mess with the driver or have a rocking party near him. Do have someone sit with the driver to keep him sane and help him look for stuff.
