Nebraska game set for Noon on ESPN
http://www.mgoblue.com/sports/m-footbl/sched/mich-m-footbl-sched.html
That leaves us with:
@Illinois, 3:30, ABC
Nebraska, Noon, ESPN
Ohio, likely Noon, very highly likely ABC

As I become more removed from college, I am starting to really like the noon starts.
November 7th, 2011 at 11:21 AM ^
It's really more convenient when you are coming from more than an hour away. I'm traveling from the Northern outlying suburbs and it's a haul getting through Detroit to AA. I'd much rather be driving back home in the late Afternoon than getting home at around 10 or 11 like I would after a 330 start.
November 7th, 2011 at 11:37 AM ^
There is something to be said for having 3 hours less to drink and tailgate. I love tailgating but I love remembering the game and not feeling hungover leaving the stadium.
November 7th, 2011 at 12:49 PM ^
The 9am kick on the left coast is rough.
November 7th, 2011 at 2:23 PM ^
10am start for Mountain time isn't fun either. It is an improvement from when I lived in Alaska and those games started at 8am.
November 7th, 2011 at 2:29 PM ^
That's my favorite part. Roll out of bed for the game and then enjoy the rest of your day after.
November 7th, 2011 at 11:25 AM ^
I drive from columbus each home game and the 12pm games make life much easier. I used to HATE the 12pm games but have come to prefer them. Although the 4:15 am wake ups don't make my wife happy.
November 7th, 2011 at 11:26 AM ^
I wanted to tailgate and not freeze my tail off, as well as not start drinking at 9 am.
November 7th, 2011 at 2:41 PM ^
I think it's important to note that the final determination of which channel will be after the UM-Illinois game. UM-NU will be on ESPN or ESPN2. They are competing with Wisconsin-Illinois. I think it's safe to say if Michigan beats Illinois, they get ESPN, and if Illinois wins, they get ESPN.
Love or Hate Chris Spielman, the difference between Pasch and Beth Mowins is astounding. There is now an alternate motive to beat Illinois.

I hate noon starts, especially for games that I want to get really pumped up for. Why can't it just be 3:30?? OSU better be 3:30...
November 7th, 2011 at 11:56 AM ^
Unfortunately there is a 0% chance that OSU is at 3:30
November 7th, 2011 at 1:51 PM ^
There's probably a 2.73% chance that the game is at 3:30.
(Yes, everyone, don't get your hopes up.)
November 7th, 2011 at 1:45 PM ^
Because if it's about the game, you should be able to get pumped up for the game at any time.
November 7th, 2011 at 12:00 PM ^
Because Michigan kickoff aligns nicely with a late breakfast, coffee and a copy of The Economist.

We used to be on ABC every weekend? And we had more than 2 games start after 12? I miss that.

If it's an uneventful and useless tailgate that is your own fault...I live in cbus and the and many beers deep at the golf course at 745am. With a nice breakfast and lunch to come...
as far as the quiet stadium I tend to agree with you there and is the one point that is more than valid. I remember what it was like to be a college student and 12pm games are tough to get up for after a night of drinking.
November 7th, 2011 at 12:59 PM ^
I will also concede it would be a bit warmer tailgating this time of year with the 3:30 start...
November 7th, 2011 at 1:00 PM ^
and will again mean we will have to defend not having a full section
i know some adults don't get it, but noon is really early and for the many students who just don't care as much (along with the fact it will be cold), they will either tailgate longer or just skip all together
furthermore, expect a shitty section against osu as many students will be home for break
this doesnt include students like me on this site, but it s just reality ... whilei do it, i cant expect everyone to get up at 7am on gamedays and get to the stadium at kickoff
November 7th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
A great deal of students don't have parents that live so far away from Michigan Stadium that they have a good excuse not to be there for the freaking MICHIGAN-OHIO STATE GAME.
Get in your car. Drive. Support the team in a blood rivalry.
November 8th, 2011 at 1:05 AM ^
but you got to understand, i have multiple friends whose parents just arent allowing them to ... its not about cant ... its the fact that if your parents dont care for football, they see it as a family weekend and say no and the truth is many of us cant ignore the people supporting us
i have lions season tickets and mom made me sell the thanksgiving game, i feel lucky to be allowed to go back for umich-osu
November 7th, 2011 at 1:49 PM ^
If students constitutions have become so delicate that they need they're beauty sleep, they can sleep in to 10:45, roll out of bed, get dressed, and still have plenty of time to get to the Stadium on time. Problem solved.
Unless you're saying Michigan students can only be loud if they're drunk. I mean, SEC schools play at noon too, and we hear all the time that they're louder than our crowds. Are they just tougher, and can drink earlier, without as much of a nap...or are their fans just more raucous no matter the time of the day?
November 7th, 2011 at 1:17 PM ^
Many of us will be home for the weekend, I for one in Maryland. These noon games are getting atrocious.
November 7th, 2011 at 1:28 PM ^
This sucks. I really want to see another half under the lights at the Big House this year and thought it would be Nebraska.
I hope OSU is 3:30 now.
November 7th, 2011 at 1:40 PM ^
Please make tsio at 330 please
November 7th, 2011 at 3:04 PM ^
It seems like ESPN wats to make the premier big ten matchups 12 pm on ESPN.
November 7th, 2011 at 3:46 PM ^
another noon start, plus it will be a mess to get in because no one is going to be late vs. Nebraska (right ??? students ??? Bueller, bueller ....)
WTF ... I'm getting there at 7a. Let the tailgating begin ...
Go Blue!
November 7th, 2011 at 4:18 PM ^
Educate me...why will the game with Ohio probably be at noon? (I'm hoping it is, because I have a conflict later in the afternoon!)
November 7th, 2011 at 5:30 PM ^
It's historically been a noon (or 1:00) game. I think the first time it was played at 3:30 was the 2006 clash of the titans.
November 7th, 2011 at 7:16 PM ^
I believe there was one time in the '80s in Columbus that it was a 3 p.m. kickoff. But otherwise, it's been at 12 or 1 in Ann Arbor.
The fact that the time still hasn't been announced could be a sign that ABC is eyeing a later time this year. I'm sure Brandon would not object.
November 7th, 2011 at 6:01 PM ^
It's embarrassing to see the students and old people argue over start times, as well as people being angry at early starts due to drinking inconveniences... MICHIGAN football is MICHIGAN football regardless of what time it starts... Get over yourself
November 7th, 2011 at 7:17 PM ^
There is a very, very wide age gap for people to fall into between being "students" and "old."
November 7th, 2011 at 7:17 PM ^
.....one in kindergarten, the other in preschool, I've been up for about five hours by the time the game starts. It works for me now.
November 8th, 2011 at 11:01 AM ^
Any recommendations for a pregame bar for breakfast/drinks? We're getting into town late Friday night, so not sure we'll be able to secure tailgating provisions.
Apologies if this has been asked before every home game ever. I searched the board for a while but couldn't find any relevant threads.
Thanks.
