NDNation: it's unfair that Michigan didn't travel as much as us

These guys never fail to deliver unintentional comedy.

Apparently, the "competitive imbalance" caused by the fact that Notre Dame took one of those aeroplane machines to California in November, which we did not do, was too much for them to overcome when they played us.

Unfortunately, its not just the fans.  The delusion is with the players as well.  Did anybody see Jonas Gray's tweets after the game?

" jgray_ND25 : Michigan has gotten the most breaks in College Football I've ever seen! All those tough HOME GAMES LOL. I will never respect that program."

" jgray_ND25 : Spiked it on 3rd Down c'mon man! Give Mich some credit tho...actually they don't deserve ANY credit they beat a down OSU team at HOME!"

I don't understand what he's getting at.  1.  How can you hate a team because they get breaks?  and 2. what breaks is he referring to?  The first touchdown that got called back or the second?  Unbelievable...

You'd think with a Notre Dame education that one would realize the University of Michigan has basically no control over how many home games we have yearly (outside of OOC scheduling, obviously). Join a conference if you don't like it, until then, continue to wallow in your own ignorance.

Last night was just further proof that Kelly doesn't have a fucking clue.  First Dayne Crist wins the tough QB competition that went on all offseason, then he gets benched after throwing one INT in the first half against USF.  Then Tommy Rees is hailed as the guy who "gets it", who is 12-2 at a starter, the guy who is just a winner.  After a poor half on the road at Stanford, he gets pulled for a running QB who can't seem to run (1.7 ypc against the Cardinal), the offense continues to sputter and a nice defensive turnaround (holding Stanford to 7 second half points) is squandered.

If this guy has a plan I sure as hell can't see what it is.

Crist is gone after this season, Rees and Hendrix will both be juniors.  I don't think either one is that good and Kelly can't seem to decide between them.  Do we get anothe yearlong QB battle?  How long does Kelly stay with the guy he picks if/when that guy struggles next year?  How do they develop anybody else behind those guys so that somebody is ready to take the team to a higher level by year 4 or 5?

I just don't see any way that the guy keeps his job after the next two years.

Brian Kelly is a good coach.  He develops QBs quickly and can win games even when they are inadequate in many ways (Cincinatti anyone?).  He wins everywhere he goes.  It may take a few years, but ND would be stupid to get rid of the guy.  He just throws Hendrix in there out of nowhere and he does decent.  Seriously, Rees winning games last year?  How did that happen?  ND is a team that has competed with everyone this year except SC.  They beat MSU handily.  I hate to say it, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a 10/11 win ND team next year.

Rodriguez built a team that clearly can and did just win in the Big Ten.  For all the bitching about the size of his players and the system he ran, we just put up 45 against Nebraska and 40 against OSU with guys he recruited running a zone-read, shotgun offense for most of the game.  The teams he built at WVU also had no trouble when taking on big conference opponents.

The question I have is, Who are the guys Kelly is bringing in that are going to be better than what he's got right now?  Also, what exactly does he want his team, especially on offense to look like?  He keeps talking about running the ball but never runs it, despite having a veteran line and two talented backs.  He can't decide on a quarterback and has no one in the pipeline who will be older than a true freshman next year waiting in the wings if Rees/Hendrix don't work out (not a recipe for winning games).  We didn't really see what he could build at Cincinnati, he won right away with Dantonio's guys and moved on before his first recruits reached their junior season.  Two years in, I've heard Kelly complain about the lack of talent but I haven't seen him play any of the young guys he has brought in.  I also see a bunch of NFL caliber players, again especially on the offensive side of the ball.

It is spelled HOKEAMANIA.  Our coach is an ass-kicking American citizen, not one of the Beatles, for Christ's sake!
