I wish it was like soccer and we had action almost straight through to halftime.  That would help some considering the tempo we run and all the conditioning work.  Then again, it would hurt us in positions where we lack depth since there would be a lot more substituting for fatigue.

obviously has more clout with NBC, than Michigan does with ABC/ESPN or the Big Ten Network. I hope that NBC doesn't decide to help ND by not interrupting their offense and turning around and interrupting our offense. Fair is fair, but ND hasn't always played fair.

Unfortunately, ND has a lot of pull with a major broadcast network because of their exclusive TV deal. We don't to that degree. But if ND gets NBC to preferentially alter the way TV timeouts are called just for the Irish, would the NCAA call shenanigans?

They'd better!  I'm not usually one to complain about favorable treatment toward opposing teams and I don't prescribe to many conspiracy theories (see PSU fans), but to me this sounds absolutely ridiculous.  The fact that Kelly is even granted an audience to MAKE a request like this is unbelievable to me.  No other team in the country (at present, anyway) has access to networks in this way, do they?

The networks rarely (if ever) take a TV timeout in the middle of a drive. They are almost always at a change of possession.

This is total BS by nd and Kelly.

Well, it very well could be Brian Kelly could be doing us ALL a favor here.  From my experience with NBC broadcasting ND games, the TV timeouts are frequent.  And looooooooong.

How can you event think that its close to reasonable to ask for the commercials to be run when you want them to so your tempo isnt disrupted?!?!?!?  This is crap and I hope the rest of the country speaks up about it..... yo....

shouldnt one complain because ND games were on average a half-hour longer then those games broadcast on abc/espn? but alas, instead, you believe it is "crap" because NBC has decided to make their broadcast similar to those done on other networks (e.g. cut back on the ridiculously long commercial breaks..) and for that, you are a "bit sick"... (sigh)
