ND Star Safety with high praise for college life

Submitted by Bluesnu on

I came across an SI article on Max Redfield, a star safety for Notre Dame who was once committed to USC.  What's funny is his (spot on) quote about life at ND.

"“I knew it was going to be rough,” says Redfield, who committed to Notre Dame at the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game. “Nightlife would be a lot worse, the women would be a lot worse, the weather -- a lot worse. But it’s a business decision. I know for a fact it will pay off in the future even though it’s rough now.”

That's just not true.  For example, one of ND's star linebackers dated this superhot girl a couple of years ago, Lennay Kekua, who was definitely as hot as any Song Girl USC could serve up.  Granted, it was a long-distance relationship with a sad ending, but still ... .

Redfield just needs to know where to look.  Maybe the alumni players can give him advice.

That is one girl. Take a stroll through Ann Arbor and then go hit Gainesville for a night. The women in Gainesville are smoking hot and their bodies are smoking 80% of the time. When I lived in Ann Arbor if you saw a few good looking girls it was a great night and they were usually sloppy looking because of weight. Tallahassee I can't even speak about, because they are so hot. My coworkers from Ohio and Pennsylvania agree. This isn't even debatable.

lennay kekua was manti te'o's imaginary girlfriend----ya know, a joke.

also, please stop with the U of M coed meme.  I suspect the male and female attractiveness on any campus tends to be relatively equivilent.  Hence, if your opinion of Ann Arbor women is true, then it pretty much covers you and your friends as well (if you went to Mich)

is a town called East Lansing, where the ladies are loose, and the men get so intoxicated, they rarely recognzie that you are swooping in on their co-eds. If you didn't take advantage of it when you were in AA, I suggest you offer this advice to those you care about.

I had some fun times there and they are definitely more into looking good. They still don't compare to Georgia or Florida campuses. Just my opinion and anyone that has visited both.

Is this the "nass" part of your user name?  That the SEC has advantages in cash and ass?

I was thinking that it's funny how important this seems to be to you, just from this thread, but it turns out that might just be the tip of the iceberg.

is obviously as good looking as Tom Brady, so he knows hot.

(Just to clarify, Tom Brady is a very good looking quarterback who plays for the New England patriots and I am questioning how good looking you are because you seem very into looks and you are kind of coming off like a jackass, judging every woman in Ann Arbor and South Bend.)

Girls with brains who aren't each dressed exactly alike, whose breasts don't have little lines on them--all good things. I happen to have lived in A2, Gainesville, and (now) Tallahassee, and while the girls here are superficially pretty, the hip ones--fewer and farther between. I would take UM women any day of the year. . .

Would love to hear some of the women chime back on this for once. Stuff like this is probably why the female population here is pretty low to begin with.

I really wanted to say something but didnt' want to come off as a harpy. I went to U of M for grad school and an engineering school for undergrad. Men at both places were always ripping on us for not being pretty enough. It drove me crazy! I'm not into make up or fashion, but I like football and Star Trek and I can kick your ass in math! I will also add that some very hot men are also total mimbos and it would drive me crazy trying to talk to them about "GTL".

It would drive me crazy when guys would say to me and my friends "There are no good looking women here". I would be like, "We're right here, dumb ass!"  I think because we choose to not dress in a trashy fashion, it is hard to see the prettiness that really is there (for real, not just on the inside, on the outside, too). It was kind of rough on the self esteem for a while, then you realize those guys are losers.

eh, I lived in Gainesville for a while and actually met my gf there, and and I've also hung out at asu plenty when my friends went there, I would say Gainesville is on par with msu while asu and prob USC (I've never been there) are a tier above

It's a curious comment to say the least.  While I agree that he definitely downshifted weather & women wise going to ND over USC I dont understand why he considers it a better "business decision" to go there.  USC academically is every bit the equal to ND and certainly their track record in getting players to the NFL is just as good if not better than ND so I dont understand why he thinks that way.

What he should've said was I thought Lane Kiffen was a royal douchebag and It didnt seem like Kelly was as bad.
