ND players say Big House at night is toughest place to play
Notre Dame offensive linemen Zack Martin and Chris Watt recall Under the Lights I with irishillustrated.com, ranking the experience above some other notable away games:
"According to Martin and Watt, nothing last season - not Oklahoma under the lights or USC at the Coliseum - stood up to the Big House two seasons ago. It’s likely no stadium moving forward will, either."

I hope this year's game is two times as loud and leaves them with an everlasting impression of the big house. Go blue and beat ND!

No need to hope, son. This time we got us some glowin sticks!

“There’s no other place I’ve played at since I’ve been here that compares to two years ago when we were up there,” Martin said. “Just the atmosphere, the fans and all of that together was something to see.”
Rivalry (or lack thereof) aside, it is nice to see the atmosphere at Michigan Stadium get a nod from opposing players. In its own way, that's a huge compliment to our fans, I think.

Yeah this feels good to read this. For years all we heard was that Michigan Stadium was quiet and unimposing. Love It! Go Blue!!

I have a feeling tonight will be crazy and the game will get broken wide open in the 3rd quarter

The stadium has never been "loud" compared to places like Death Valley, Oregon, etc., but the "library" complaints always seemed inappropriate. Tonight's game will be crazy, and I'm sure it will be another special night.

The stadium has never been "loud" compared to places like Death Valley, Oregon, etc.Have you been to these places or are you just going by reputation? Since the renovations, our stadium has been much louder - the boxes trap a lot more noise in than before.

I have been to Oregon and Death Valley (LSU). Even with the renovations, both of those places were louder. UTL1 came close, but that's the only time I remember it being very near those places. Oregon in particular left ringing in my ears for a solid day after the fact.

On my way from Cleveland in about an hour or two. CANNOT WAIT!!!
Just watched the Cold Play video of the braclet's lighting up and showed the wife what they're giving us for the game. That will be unreal.
I was there two years ago and anybody was says the Big House cant get loud....VERY loud....simply wasnt there. It was freaking electric, loud and exciting. I'm getting chills just thinking about it...
GO BLUE!!!! (I never type that - shows how jacked up I am)

Without joking at all, I really think the atmosphere is going to be better at the beginning of the game. Reason I say this is because of the hype for this game that has been building for the last two years. No doubt, people were excited for the first one, but the hype for this game is easily on OSU level right now (perhaps, dare I say, higher?). I think this is going to build for an epic kickoff and first section of the game.
The end of course, is up in the air, but I really expect the beginning to be wild.

The entire fanbase needs to be in the game, and the game needs to be pretty close.
UTL1, 2011 Ohio State, and 2012 MSU were the loudest I've ever heard the Big House. Of course I'd love the crowd to be really loud every game, but if I have to choose, these are the teams I want the crowd to get up for.

Braylonfest was the first time I remember it being shockingly loud. Helped that it was the late afternoon game and went on into the night. Plus you know, Braylonfest.

Hopefully the GA student admission will help in that regard, giving us a full (or at least fuller) student section on a regular basis.

I've always said that starting in around 2005 I could notice an overall louder attempt at a louder crowd. I know it's a random year to pinpoint, but I just remember that year I started to notice this. Anyways, it's good to hear by the ND players.

but wont be there tonight. I'm really looking forward to seeing how its going to be on TV. The atmosphere will probably be even better as the game should be closer throughout this year. It was a bit dead in the 2nd and 3rd quarters last year since we were getting pantsed a bit. Plus, the added expectations for UTLII based off of the last one means that kickoff is probably going to be nuts

Tonight will be another instant classic. Can't wait! GO BLUE!!

Think of how loud it would be if they sold beer...
