Poke in our eye considering the opponent and timing of announcement? God I hate them so much. What I wouldn't give for a 2006 like massacre Saturday.

I agree with this, schedule the USC Broken Trojans.  Somehow this is more of a national interest than an established rivalry?  How is this not a regional appeal?  Feels like ND is trying to schedule whoever's good right now in an attempt to ride their tailcoats to relevancy.

Having lived in Ohio all of my life, I just cannot root for the buckeyes, unless what they're doing DIRECTLY affects Michigan. For example, if we are tied with a team for the division lead and need that other team to lose their final game to get Michigan into the conference title game and OSU was their opponent, I'd cheer for OSU to win because that directly affects Michigan. Otherwise, OSU can fuck itself.

You win, OP. This news makes me hate both teams even more. It may sound weird, but I'm pulling for OSU in a big way, because what a shady thing for ND to do. Fuck em.

I find it amusing more than anything.

Entirely in character for ND to schedule something like this and announce on eve of ending a rivalry with us.

then faces both on the road in 2023.  Jim Delany's fault?

I suppose this (sort of) gets ND off the hook for being chicken.  Would ND-OSU be a national rivalry instead of a mere regional game like ND-UM?  Anyway, I hope it turns out like their last home-and-home in 1995&1996.  The Fiesta Bowl was just a bonus.  Still weird that they've only played five times including that bowl matchup.

Golston will probably cheat again and get suspended from school (aka redshirt and spend an entire semester working out with a QB guru) only to somehow get readmitted and rejoin the team, no harm no foul.  How many more years of eligibity does he have left?

Who cares if these two play. It'll be a great game to watch hoping both teams tear each other to pieces. What's funny is that the Domers thought this announcement was about the 5 players, wrong again.
