I'm going to be in a wedding Saturday, and probably won't be able to see any of the game until I get home to watch it on my DVR. I know that MLB.com has the text updates, and that got me wondering if there were any sites or services that sent college football text updates. Any one have any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
ND Game Text Updates?
If you have a blackberry you might be able to get something from ESPN mobile web.
looking for that for a week now. Thanks and +1 to you. Does that give just news or up-to-date info during the game too?
So I'm not sure.
I'm going to try this one out.
You can sign up for ESPN text alerts for any team. They are free (if you have a text plan) and all you need is a user name on their website.
What kind of phone/service do you have?
Google used to have NCAAF scores via text, but for some reason they now only have MLB (and maybe NFL/NHL...). I'm guessing they had to remove NCAAF scores for some sort of contractual reasons? I don't really get it.
I hate to say it, but you should probably consider adding some sort of basic internet service to your phone before the wedding. That, or post you phone number, and we'll try to send you some belligerent updates, like "OMG LOL @ J-CLAW!!"
And on that note, I hate people who get married during football season. That's a real pet peeve.
verizon env2. I'm trying to stay away from getting an internet package on my phone, because I know that will lead to getting absolutely nothing done at work and school.
You could always cancel it right after the wedding. I have T-Mobile, and they are really cool about prorating different plans. I'll bet Verizon does the same. Tell them you wanna try the internet, and cancel it a few days later.
Then again, you might realize how awesome it is to have the internet on your phone and decide to keep it!!
My friend was smart enough to pick the Delaware State game for his wedding.
Not to rag on your friend.
my sister was nice enough to schedule her wedding in 06 during the ball state game. uh...
I could just text you every 10 minutes with updates.
