...to the melodious strains of Emile Waldteufel's "Les Patineurs".

NOTE TO ALL: Not sure who went to this site, but they've been warned now -

Predicting schadenfreude gold (and we didn't even need to play football) in 5...4...3...2...

QUESTION TO BOARD: Separate reaction thread? I might watch this special and then check the ND blogs to find gems.

This might be the single most important piece of video since the Zupruder tapes surfaced.  If this isn't the funniest thing ever captured on film then I truly don't know what is (especially when coupled with "Land the Fucking Triple Lutz" post with Kelly's mad face.

If we can single-handidly get Craig James and his killing of the five hookers to #2 on the Google search engine pre-fill then I think we OWE it the rest of the world to make sure this piece of cinematic genius gets known beyond the board.  I, for one, will henceforth only speak of ND from this point forward as the "Notre Dame Figureskaters".

Can someone with more talent than I PLEASE make an animated GIF out of this.

It's hard to tell what sequence to isolate.

The leprechaun dropping his hat?

The jumping jacks?

The agony of the band?

There's more gold on this clip than on all the ND helmets from the UTL game.  Priceless.

Okay, I've posted waay too many times on this thread already.

So, I'm just going to make a top ten comments and walk away.  This clip is too much of a Good Thing.

(1) Is it too late for T'eo to change his mind?

(2) Perhaps this is one time wherein minority underrepresentation at ND isn't such a bad thing.

(3) If you're going to call a slow-to-develop play with three pitches in the backfield, you really should consider assigning more players to block.

(4) I can't believe ND gave us crap about DRob's underthrowing with a pass like that.

(5) Maybe the event would have looked better with commemorative uniforms.

(6) #7 (Stephon Tuitt, DE), #17 (Matthew Mulvey, QB), #8 (Kendall Moore, ILB), and #4 (Gary Gray, CB) must be FRICKING PISSED.  Unless that was actually them out there.  And if it was, maybe  not so bad considering three out of the four are defenders.

(7) Conversation topic: Who should be more embarrassed: "Notre Dame Football" or the band, "Chicago" ?

(8) Was this really the wisest use of a year of eligibility for Boitano this late in the season?

(9) Where are the leprechaun pushups?  I want to see ice leprechaun pushups!

(10) ND's offense playing in synch with the marching band cadence seems to be helping them with that false-start problem.

I want this video to be played everytime Notre Dame visits Michigan stadium on our gigantic dual HD scoreboards. I truely believe it will add to everyone's gameday experience and enjoyment.

There is no way they can say "oops" about this one the way they did "We are ND" - it is being promoted by way too many people not under ND's control...

  • Key quote: "Brian Boitano, Professional Figure Skater, explains how he got to wear Notre Dame Football jerseys, "And because we filmed on the campus of Notre Dame, we actually got to wear the Irish's football uniforms, so we did a football number and it was so much fun."

  • They did know, and they are proud of it....

  • they are telling their alumni to check it out too!
