The YouTube post was just a delicious applesaucy taste of what is to come on national television later today? (we haven't even touched on the fact that this is on youtube due to the tremendous marketing power of Musselman brand spple sauce.)

We always compain about the inability to neg-bang but jesus what about the loss of the poss-bang too? That is the funniest post i have read in a LONG time and worth sixty jamillion upvotes!

Edit:  It's now almost three hours since I first watched the video and then saw the post with Brian Kelly's angry face accompanied by the words "Land the fucking triple lutz" and each and every time i see/read it I start laughing out loud.  Hell I started laughing again just writing it.  My wife thinks i'm losing my mind cause I keep laughing at the same thing over and over again.

If there is such a thing I hereby cast my vote for MGoBlog Hall of Fame.

That's exactly what I was noticing... they look like their souls are being sucked out.

I'm curious who the skaters in the ND uniforms were... they didn't look polished enough to be real figure skaters, but they didn't look nearly bulked up enough to be players... were they members of ND's band?

I left this alone for two days and I am in tears reading the responses today.  So many good follow ups!  I am hoping those of you with some editing capability and talent will take the time to have even more fun with this in the future.  In the least this needs to be played on our HD scoreboard anytime ND takes the field at Michigan Stadium.

this tremendously embarassing piece of footage?

Great piece of schadenfruede on the youtube comment page begging for someone to "Destroy all footage of this before our football team is mocked into obscurity."

wow.  it is too bad that written language is not advanced enough to express the humiliation and mockery that ND will have to enduer because of youtube.  someone needs to send this to Mike and Mike and the Dan Patrick Show.

Next time we're about to have a collective panic attack about extra stripes on our road uniforms or Journey being played in the stadium, let us remember this video. It could always be much, much worse.

I wonder if ND just plans everything they do to give people an opportunity to mock them. Hiring Brian Kelly, ice skating, terrible songs, hiring Brian Kelly, Jimmy Clausen, not suspending Michael Floyd, hiring Charlie Weis, and hiring Brian Kelly. Did I mention Brian Kelly?

....and I will now need to dump serious Resolve on the carpet by my desk. ROFL.

If only they had played with such grace and elegance all year, right? Oh, ND, what could have been...

I must say though, I can't wait for  next year when ND receivers are doing triple axels to avoid tackles.

I don't see Brandon going down this road. We should count our blessings for the AD he is, and quit complaining. Among other things,

  • We (still) have no mascot
  • We (still) have no advertising in Michigan Stadium.
  • The local band pump up song (In the Big House) and associated video was never as bad as Freakbass and "We Are ND"
  • We have no ice skaters with Boitano.

Regarding the skating, the "performance" was on Nov. 20 in South Bend, explaining the Fighting Irish Band inclusion. They had a game the day before (win vs. BC.)

I hope that the MMB never consents to doing something like this in the Detroit area. Let MSU stake out that territory, it would gladly be ceded to them.

Lastly, I'd gladly chip in to pay for the wager which would get photobomber Brian Cook to agree to function alongside the front man for Pop Evil, singing "In The Big House." The Photoshop of that was priceless. A jiib jab style video of Pop Evil singing the song with the Brian Cook photobomber photoshopped in would be awesome.

I'll probably sound like a dick for saying this but . . .

  • not having a mascot (but floating the idea of how much the "kids would love it")
  • not advertising in the Big House (except on 1 of 400 "special jerseys" or on vid screens)
  • not having a faux-metal/glam hype song QUITE as universally ridiculed as ND's.
  • not having ice skaters, just an ever increasing amount of "clowniforms" (and it mostly started this year "on ice".)

is still bullshit.

it IS a slippery slope, and is the AD's version of playing not to lose.

Dave Brandon is a successful businessman, a charismatic leader, & obviously loves Michigan.  He's also a an extreme egotist, and a meddling corporate whore.

I'll stop complaining when I see proof that Dave Brandon knows the difference between the Michigan® brand and his own.

I'll take one copy of the Collector's Edition, please, with BluRay, DVD, and downloadable Ultraviolet version directly to my digital viewer of choice.   With both theatrical release and director's cut.

Special commentary by Freakbass.

Also deleted scenes with hilarious outtakes.  Though it is admittedly hard to tell the difference between the outtakes and the actual film.

I wasn't sure what to expect - it certainly wasn't football players on skates! I almost spewed coffee all over my laptop.

Kelly saw Lewan and Robinson practicing their lift and got right to work on a routine.

Let us hope they don't start this nonsense in the stadium, the damage to the turf will be tremendous!
