We are currently 11th in the conference in Pass D and Total D... ouch.
Edit: Caveat that everyone but PSU and OSU have played powderpuff teams so far.

Yeah, 104th in total D but I have a feeling that will improve over the next 3 weeks.

Bend but don't break on D. I can live with 17ppg allowed.

thought this is how it was going to be. I still think there has been improvement in the D and we have two baby seals to work on some press coverage. Kicking is as bad as I have ever seen in all my years and RR really needs to come up with someone that can put it through the uprights quickly. If we dont solve this problem it may cost us a game down the road.

From what UMass has been able to do over the first 2 weeks, it sure doesn't seem as though they are quite baby seal status.

Is Michigan State one of those 87?

Maybe i'm an oddball but the only stats that matter to me on a defense are PPG and TO margin. True, its difficult to win when you're being soundly outgained but it seems to me red zone defensive stops and forcing turnovers are much more important to a defense than total yardage.

Odd to think that Denard could be the best runner in the country but can't win the Doak Walker Award. They may need to change the criteria for that one.
