I'm seeing Nebraska -3.5 or -4. Rain is a big factor in this one as it's already pouring. They even had a campus wide power outage about an hour ago.
Game kicks off at 9pm ET.
I'm liking Nebraska to cover. Discussion goes here.
I think Gabbart the Mizzou qb is the real deal - I think he will be the difference in this game.
Note to self: smoke machines in the rain are a bad idea.
Brings back memories of sloggy games against NW.
kidding on the weather ... they referenced Palmer talked about Gabbert switching committments from Neb to Mizzou. Did he say what happened? Assume something with the coaching situation a couple years ago?
Gabbart was a OMG shirtless recruit.
I think you are on the right track with the Nebraska coaching situation being the reason for the decommit.
just did a great mallett impression fumbling that snap
now he fumbles the ball on a scramble
in watching football just as soon as I finish watching The Office and the Red Wings.
every time it seems like Mizzou is getting the run game going - it is coming back on a holding call, their offensive line looks kinda small to me.
They sure can't stop Suh.
honestly, he is the most dominant player in the country. I can't think of anyone who's better or makes a bigger impact on the game from his position. Too bad he isn't a QB or RB.
has some depth on the D line.
was not pretty. Insert yakety sax to that punt attempt.
Almost dialed up the yakety on that punt recovery.
lucky to get that back - may be the first time I agree with Craig James.
BTW anyone have the Blackjack taco yet?
special teams f'ups? ... Wow that was a hit.
on Saturday's game. I hate to think that Mich would have to go thru similar conditions on Sat night.
2 points might be enough to win this thing
Eh with this weather, I was hoping for first 0-0 game through 4 quarters. Damn the punter for botching the snap and taking a safety.
is making this game intolerably boring. I'm switching over to Sunny in Philly.
is having some problems. The footing seems to be ok even in a monsoon. Field turf is a wonderful thing. Im glad we decided to go that rout. Dont get me wrong i love natural grass but i couldnt even imagine what this game would be like on real grass. It hardly rained last weekend (minus the last drive of the game) and players were slipping all over the place.
Looking at Brian's twitter feed, I take back Nebraska covering. I forgot about the CK Award hex.
needs more football the UFL is debuting on Versus
and there is OT ivy league football on ESPNU
I'm waiting for Mizzou to snap the FG attempt over the holder to preserve the 2-0 lead. Keeping fingers crossed for it.
Hating the UFL jerseys. White w/ green shoulders vs shiny silver from a distance blends together too easily. Add that the pants are white with blue trim against blue with white trim just has everything blurring together for me.
I am impressed with the guys they've got in the booth though. Dave Sims and Doug Flutie are much higher quality than what I expected.
the same thing about the colors - way too hard to figure out what is going on - if one team is wearing silver tops the other team should not be allowed to wear white.
The refs look like they work for pizza hut. Red polos and black pants.
the play call - but I like the result.
be the most cracked out lou holtz pep talk yet.
Gotta love the Lil' Wayne intro.
How down do you need to be to recover a fumble?
establish possession - that is the key
Yeah, I was wondering the same thing
Weak personal foul. I thought that was chest to shoulder.
Whoa on the Tate for Heisman talk. edit:
Announcers made the argument that if Tate had led Michigan to a victory against MSU, he'd be a legit candidate for the heisman at this juncture. Even though he's a true freshman "Why not?!"
God this game is boring.
Perhaps the last 4 minutes have been better for you?
EDIT: And there's the go ahead.
I'm the King of Speaking Too Soon.
And Gabbert--not so much. I agree with Palmer when he said that had UM won--Tate might have merited some loud Heisman talk. How could he not? Even now?
Missouri has NO downfield passing game and no weapons offensively.
Suh of Nebraska is the best lineman in the country.
