though I have been frustrated by Beilein's recent stubbornness (auto bench, poor defense, poor rebounding) and obviously disappointed by the total lack of athletic recruits...

Iowa hasn't been to the sweet 16 since 1999.  Ouch.  They seem to have a good team year in and out for the last half a dozen seasons or so.  I guess this provides some perspective about how hard it is to get to the Elite 8/Final 4/National Title Game.

Whenever they are perceived as good they are always average. No matter what the sport. When was their last truly great football or basketball team?

The Transitive Property Of Sports leads to some interesting conclusions, to say the least. Too bad there is no such thing, right?

I mean, think of the teams that should just effing dominate the Tournament year over year if such a concept actually was a thing in evaluating college basketball teams, for starters.

That reminds me of people doing that for MMA. The jargon is MMA Math. Lol. If Mir beat Hunt and Hunt beat Cain then Mir could beat Cain! Matchups decide games and fights IMO. Actually, it's not an opinion. It's a fact!
