With half the Final Four field now set, we have two more games to get through yet -

Going now on TBS, Virginia and Syracuse are going at it - the Cavaliers are up 11-8 with about 11:30 to go in the first half.

Later on TBS - approximately 8:49 PM unless something happens in the current game, you'll get Notre Dame and North Carolina.

So far, this is sort of going how you would expect a Syracuse-Virginia matchup to go. The highest eFG% is 40% and that's Virginia at the moment. That, and it is turning out to be a defensive grind. I only have this game in two brackets, although I am probably effectively out of contention in all but one pool now. Yeah, I am that guy during March Madness.

Kansas killed me. Had them winning it all. Now I'm in the VERY unenviable position of needing either ND or Cuse to win to be runner up or both to win for me to win the pool. So...go Cuse? That way I can recoup my entry fee and not see ND win.

There are many reasons why Syracuse shouldn't have made it and that is number 1. Bullshit that they got a pass for their shitty results when their dirtbag coach had to sit out for ncaa violations

I wouldn't put Syracuse in the "blue blood" tier of college basketball. It's a great program success wise, but the upper echelon is limited to UNC, Kentucky, Duke, Kansas, UCLA, and Indiana. But Syracuse does certainly belong in that almost there second tier along with MSU and UConn.

Meltdown would insinuate they're still trying and nothing is going their way. UVa is playing like a team that just doesn't care anymore. "Sense of urgency" is clearly not a concept their coach has ever taught them.
