Miami looks like doo-doo.
Remember that later in the game when they look great. If their shots start falling the game will change.
If they don't start knocking them down now, it won't matter
Fair. This looks uncomfortably similar to games where Michigan just wasn't getting shots to fall.
Agreed. I actually do think this game will change, but was noting how that first 10 minutes was not very pretty!
Kenny Smith just said that Larkin is the best point guard in college basketball.
"Larkin is the best PG in the country"
So claim the basketball experts during the OSU pre-game.
Mark it, dude.
You mean, "Marq uette, dude" ??
Go Marquette!
10 points in 12.5 min? Yikes
Game goes in cycles. Rarely does a team just blow another out in the sweet 16. Miami is on pace to win by 40. Not gunna happen.
Miami will make a run and Marquette will slow down.
Maimi doesn't yet look like they're all there mentally. Does anyone play the same style as MU in the ACC?
Let's get closer to an all-B1G Final Four!
Ah...the good stuff.
PPP or PPMinute? 1
If Miami drops this game, then I sure as shit hope OSU loses tonight, too. Might as well just destroy my whole bracket but get to watch OSU go down in flames as a nice consolation.
who was negotiating with his wife on Easter Dinner Times for Sunday, Our regional is in Texas and the Midwest is in Indy, I would say U-M game would be at 5pm-ish EST should we get by KU.
Ohio better pick it up if they don't want to get too far behind in this game and Miami looks pretty meh so far
Aaron Craft slapped that guy so loud that it could be heard on TV yet no foul. Shocker.
heh...."Deshuan realized he had the smaller johnson on him."
don't want to frighten anyone.
in 18 minutes for Miami, ouch
game is horrible basketball
That last 3 was huge for MU. Getting in to half over ten points up will help a lot.
OSU looks on in disbelief when the refs call fouls on them. Interesting.
At the moment, Miami is 6-28 and 1-12 from three-point range. Ouch.
Marquette is outshooting Miami by an almost 2:1 margin from an effective FG percentage standpoint, not to mention the score. Marquette is also playing some pretty solid defense as well. Miami will either have to win the battle on the boards or stop taking every single shot regardless of distance/ look / relative humidity or whatever their criteria might be.
...at Staples, stuck in Buckeye section. Don't know who to root for...bracket has Ohio...but hard to cheer with these fans. Full disclaimer...Arizona b-ball fans are far more obnoxious than Ohio.
and Barkley commercials.......suck as well as being annoying
I disagree the one about the free programs had me rolling.
BIG TEEEHNNN!
Too bad OSU didn't play this way against us. We would've won going away both times.
this is what happens when they don't have B1G refs helping them out against a finesse team like ours
They've been in the bonus for awhile actually, well before Arizona. They just can't take advantage because their post game is non-existent.
what would the animals be made out of?
I assume they would be made of candy.
OSU's offense is. If they get down 10+, I don't see them coming back.
might be in deep doo doo in this game
So for what conference does this ref crew mainly work? Or are there mixed crews from now on?
looks like their actually calling Craft's reach ins tonight. Gene Smith is calling up Gene Steratore as we speak.
is taking it to the mentor, AZ looks way more athletic
Why no 1 and 1?
Was wondering the same thing, I thought there were only no free throws for charges. Didn't think they called a charge on that foul.
I wouldn't call us finesse. We just don't push, pull, and grab at the other team like Wisconsin and Ohio do because it backfires when refs actually call it a foul.
I'm attracted to your explanation, but with a lot of perimeter players, little post offense, and a tendency to get frustrated by powerful bigs and tight defense, I think we are probably a bit of a finesse team.
Who is going to step up for OSU?
Hopefully no one.
where an opponent goes unconscious from three against a B1G team.
Are we allowed to consider what matchups we would want should we advance? I'm kind of agnostic about this, but then I think that two of the hardest three teams left in the tourney are in our bracket.
Hell, I'm not too fond of possibly facing Dunk CIty either.
but they have almost double the amount of points Miami scored in their 1st half and there is still a few minutes to go in this game.
