I'VE HAD JUST ABOUT ENOUGH OF YOU SONNY
NCAA Tournament Day 3 Afternoon Open Thread
I don't like sparty, but that was a good story about Payne.
I changed the channel
Barkley picking Memphis in an upset. Could this day really get that great?
(Good idea on the thread, BTW. Don't know why our game was lumped with the rest.)
There wasn't any other game being played to flip to on commercials or at the half.
I'm going to put CCHA semifinal updates here, too. 1-1 between OSU/ND, late second period.
Have you got a stream link for the CCHA games?
It's on FSD+, so I'm watching on actual TV.
Second is over. We'd prefer the Buckeyes to win this, they're not nearly as good.
Is there anything better than sitting back with a beer watching other teams fight to get where we already are?
Yes, sitting back with a bourbon and watching other teams fight to get where we are.
Ain't it SWEEEEET!!!!
Cheering for the B1G and Adrien Payne, but NEVER for Izzo or Sparty.
Gave up on my brackets so I'm ready to see Sparty crash and burn (though if they win I'll be happy for the "Big Ten", so, win-win situation!).
The Memphis vs. MSU game is a win-win situation. If MSU wins, it's good for the B1G. If Sparty loses... well Sparty loses.
Agreed!! I am pulling for them though
I'm so happy I would even uzop Rachel's dress!
Really hope we see a #1 fall today. Gonzaga is the most likely, but Louisville losing would all but hand me my bracket pool. Don't really think CSU is up to the task though.
Also, Cal - Cuse game could be a great upset game. In California I believe, and a good matchup for Cal.
Want Gonzaga to keep winning - OSU's path is already getting too easy
Memphis keeps chucking these long threes this isn't going to be a game.
Michigan players press conference on right now on CBS Sports Network
My 7 yr old daughter "Daddy, so it doesn't matter who is playing Michigan State right, we just root for the other team right?
Parenting: You're doing it right
Unless the other team is coached by Bo Ryan is the right answer to that.
It's awesome being able to watch 15 games in the next two days knowing we're already throught
I live in China so I obviously don't have Fox Sports Plus. Anybody have a link to an online stream? Thanks.
Anyone know where to find highlights of michigan's games so far? it looks like CBssports only has interviews with belein and ESPN must have an agreement that only allows them to show a few seconds of footage.
I'm getting ready to watch the game again on my DVR...I couldn't care less about State.
This is truly going to be nice to kick my feet up and just watch basketball all weekend.
Kind of the OPPOSITE of last weekend when I was sick to my stomach and didn't want to watch anything that resembled sports.
Exactly. I rarely look forward to sitting on my ass for 8 hours as much as I do right now
I supported Domino's for the first time in a looong time.
Wings, Pizza and Beer.
Also got Zero Dark Thirty and Argo from RedBox on BluRay!
...this is shaping up to be one hell of a night.
^^^^so sad, yet so awesome. Signs that I'm getting old.
Notre Dame PPG, 2-1 them. Boooo
Is Harris? I know he is super talented, but he doesn't do a lot else in MSU's offense.
They have no offense
there they go slapping thefloor again
Anyone else get pissed off when they show shots of the crowd and the Michigan fans left there are cheering for spartan baskets?
Not really. It's not Big Ten play anymore. I have no problem having Sparty make the Big Ten look strong, and I wholeheartedly want them to beat Duke if Creighton fails to do so. Now, I'll stop short of rooting for them when it comes to the Elite 8. Izzo doesn't need any more Final Fours.
All that said, I won't be heartbroken if State loses.
Notre Dame is utterly dominating, but Brady Jelle is keeping OSU in the game. Still 2-1, shots are 40-14.
Gonzaga to lose today.
ND ENG, 3-1
in this MSU game. Memphis just popped the ball with that swat.
Notre Dame wins, so we'll have to eliminate the top 3 seeds if we want to extend the streak.
For some reason, I think all games will feel entertaining today!
Definitely agree. Louisville might be the only blowout, if any. All other games could be potential upsets. Would love to see Harvard make it another round as well.
Rachel is taller than Izzo! Hahahahaha!
The elimination / annihilation of VCU means that the last remaining #5 seed is out of the Tournanment.
As for the MSU / Memphis game, Michigan State actually has 8 turnovers to Memphis' 3, but no real advantage numerically otherwise for either team, despite a strange ability MSU displayed to turn one Memphis possession into something that seemed to last minutes at one point. I think half of the Spartans' turnovers in the first half were in that sequence.
