There are still plenty of games to watch tonight. I think the Providence/UNC game will be pretty good. Also, there is another 12 versus 5 seed and we all know those tend to be good ones every year for whatever reason.

Here is the schedule:

7:10 PM (16) Cal Poly vs (1) Wichita State* CBS     Buy on StubHub

7:27 PM (12) Stephen F. Austin vs (5) Virginia Commonwealth* truTV     Buy on StubHub

Oh my god, you have the Duke condition.  Take two penicillin daily for 7 days and watch the game again to reevaluate your position.  Did you shake hands with Dickie V in the past few days?

Edit:  And do not forget to shower twice daily.

Just got home from On The Border in Dearborn and thought about going with Cal Poly and Wichita State if for no other reason than to see if the numbers pan out in at least one game. I believe Cal Poly is a 16 or 17-point underdog and, if you look at the comparison stats, the 4% estimated chance for them to win this game seems like a generous miscalculation on paper. I mean, they turn the ball over less typically than the Shockers. That's about it.

The game was nearly unwatchable the way the officials were calling fouls with almost every possession. I'm not sure it ended up favoring either side, but it sure as hell was a slow, ugly game because of it.  61 fouls and probably at least half of them shouldn't have been called. That averages out to 39 seconds of game time per foul.

Ugh I hate doing this but another officiating blunder.  Called a T on Memphis player for hanging on the rim while TWO GW players were underneath him, one with his hand on him.  Such shit.

Now and again, there is a team which makes it a mission to go out there in an early round and - too proud to let the other team do it - set themselves on fire. California Polytechnic is that team this year, from the look of things. Their effective field goal percentage is 18.52%, so hardly effective - most of the other major stats aren't promising either.

Does anyone else hate the Jay Wright (coach of Villanova) Dove commercial?

He angrily asks , "You are only going to ask one question?"

I hope he counts timeouts remaining better since he was actually asked two questions.

Dumb commercial.

I don't get why everyone falls in love with vcu every year. I mean ok the press I get it but once you beat the press their defense seems horrendous. People think they are gonna beat Florida? I just don't see it.

Bryce Cotton is a fuggin' beast.  Not sure the Fryars can keep up and/or pull this off but he's working his ass off to try and help them knock UNC off.
