posting. One thing that I have never understood is how the NCAA can make allegations, for example, on a person's character (RR's failing to promote an atmosphere of complance with NCAA rules) without proof positive. Do they just go be hearsay and hope a university doesn't fight it? They obviously did not know what they were talking about. What are the retributions for the NCAA messing up? It's a bunch of bullshit and only reaffirms my long-held belief that the NCAA is a useless, arrogant, self-righteous piece-of-shit organization.

It's like an indictment in criminal law--the NCAA first investigates, then issues a formal notice of allegations.  Then, the school presents its case, the NCAA rule on what the school's position, and the school can appeal.

The NCAA often gathers testimony from former players, people close to the school, and interviews staff.  But their allegations can go beyond the four corners of what they found.  I am not aware, for example, of there being any direct evidence RR intentionally violated practice rules.  I think the case the NCAA tried to make was that repeated violations implied as much.

This is fantastic news for our program and for coach Rod. Sadly, I have had 2 separate fans express disappointment in this because they were hoping that NCAA sanctions would be the final nail in RR's coffin. Whether or not you support RR staying on as our coach, it is shameful yo root for more severe sanctions that would sully our great team's name. Even those of us who have been critical of RR of late (which includes me) should be overjoyed if this is accurate.

Great comment. Rich Rod will overcome all of this and will lead this program back to a national championship. He needs us to believe that same thing every second of everyday. If we don't what good our we really doing for these kids and coaches. This has all happened for a reason and in the end it's going to make us that much stronger, hungrier. Support your team and school or shut it. I hate losing more than anyone, watching our defense is torture. I'm as sick as anyone thinking about losing to Ohio State 6 years in a row, and so on and so on. Live, die, laugh and cry with your squad. Understand every time you get to see those winged helmets run out of that tunnel on a fall afternoon in the the big house you are blessed. Nobody can take that away from you. Nobody. Feel that. Hail.
