Maybe we should investigate the NCAA for discouraging positive behavior following a disappointment. It ought to be required for teams with losing records to work twice as hard as other teams. America was made great not by limiting output, but by encouraging it (granted, at times this was done in despicable ways).
A really smart guy once said that repeating an action with the expectation of different results is the mark of an insane person. After 3 - 9, why would you ever practice only the same amount? Yes, the inputs were different last year, but I'm ignoring that to make a point.
Additionally, we should limit the amount of time that struggling law students are allowed to spend in the library, because they could gain an unfair advantage over their peers.

Well, it's not likely, but he could be the first in his family to go to college or something like that. Might be showing his grandparents what a dorm room is like. A lot of people aren't familiar at all. This probably isn't the case, but it's possible.

I went in the Corps before college, so I missed the whole dorm thing freshmen year. I still had more ass than I could screw by just being a guy in undergrad who had to shave every day.
My Nephew went to central. We moved him in and one of the girls on his floor decided to screw every guy in the dorm. The others tried to catch up.
I can not think of a reason other than being gay not to be nuts deep freshman year day one--other than being queer.
