Wow, I seriously got up this morning to post this, and this is the first thing that I saw. I agree with your assertion though, especially because we haven't heard anything further from anyone involved. I would think if something was up, there would have been some sort of leak by now. Just an epinion.

up by today, but that doesn't mean they will release their findings today. It could take several months for that to happen. EDIT: I also am operating under the assumption there will be a penalty of some kind. It may be small and a couple secondaries but I would be surprised if UM walked away completely unscathed.

$100,000.00 for an LS&A education that I hope includes Shakespeare, and this crowd doesn't get sarcasm? That's why I'm dubious as to the claims of a sheepskin obtained either in Ann Arbor or anywhere else. Fuck me if a bunch of alleged college graduates can understand sarcasm when Brian or the WLA comes with it--but individual posts by Average Joe are met with "/Sarcasm?" Holy shit.

First, this is a text medium. When someone is talking to you, you can use visual and verbal cues to determine whether or not they're being sarcastic. Those aren't much use on an Internet message board. Second, people out there hold all kinds of ridiculous views. Nowadays it's difficult to invent a position that's so ridiculous that someone doesn't actually believe in it or something similar. I've run into people from Houston who don't believe in the moon landings. Third, a college degree doesn't have anything to do with whether or not people catch sarcasm. Some people just take things more literally than others. I've seen a few people here who seem to think that the WLA folks are actually Marxists...

Quick, someone call ESPN. They're bound to have a source. Seriously though, seems to me the longer we wait to hear anything, the worse it could be. If it's nothing, wouldn't they go ahead and say so now? Is there really that much analysis of data to do here?

There was an article in the Daily about it today. Basically, it said the investigation seems to be going ok, but they have no news from the NCAA. Although the NCAA anticipated to be done by the 31st, they are only required to give an update every six months. Like everyone else I am hoping that the full report comes out soon and has no major violations. I am banking on it coming out soon - it would have been impossible for it to come out today as the NCAA is shutdown from Dec 23rd-Jan 3. Link
