If this team has any aspirations of winning this shitty conference, we cannot lose either of these next two games. Need points in both.

Minnesota almost has it locked up. I'd say a split or better by them almost locks it up as they finish with MSU and Wisconsin and we have to see a desperate Penn State team

We need to sweep them.
February 25th, 2016 at 11:38 AM ^
We couldn't sweep them at home so I am not optimistic. We have not had much success at Mariucci, but, perhaps the goal scoring machine will be in highest gear for the weekend and we can pull out at least one win.

I said we can't lose either game.
A win and a tie (w/shootout win) would put us 3 points up.

just tacking on my 2 cents

I'm finding it hard to care about the regular season champion for the B1G. For some reason it just doesn't excite me like the CCHA points did. I would obviously like us to win it, but if we fall short of Minnesota by a point or two and have a 2 seed in the NCAA tournament, that's fine with me.
I can't wait to see the CCM line do some damage in Tampa.
February 25th, 2016 at 10:23 AM ^
I'm selfishly hoping we get placed in Albany somehow
February 25th, 2016 at 10:25 AM ^
I will go no matter what. Just my preferences.

I'll be there if they end up in Worcester

I just saw that the Frozen Four is in Tampa again this year. Michigan was the 1 seed last time it was here so I of course bought tickets before the tournament even started only to have them knocked out first round. I then proceeded to get bent over a barrel and shown the 50 states by scalpers. I think I will wait and see this year.

Have had that experience several times, Buffalo in 2003 comes to mind first. Paid mucho $$ for tickets and then ugh. Drove home without even watching the finals having basically given away the rest of my tickets. Learned to buy at the site for this event. Always tickets available on the street.

Next 2 games are must wins - and I believe in this team.

Remember the last time they played UNO in the first round? I do (frozen four)

Also, speaking of Nebraska Omaha. Last time we played them was enjoyable. Still the last time I remember a goal review coming out surprisingly in our favor
February 25th, 2016 at 12:37 PM ^
Took 15+ minutes to review the damn goal

It took 15 minutes when it was obviously a goal after 15 seconds of review. They spent the other 14.75 minutes trying to come up with any excuse at all to screw Michigan out of another NCAA video review.

Cincy would be good...four hours from Ann Arbor. It might take some convincing for the Mrs, but it's possible.

curious if Easter weekend has an impact on attendance.
February 25th, 2016 at 1:49 PM ^
I hadn't thought about that...seems very early this year.

I would think we could beat UNO in the first round and would assume we would play ND in the final of the region. A saw UND play in person a couple of weeks ago and honestly I wasn't that impressed with them. I think Michigan would have a speed advantage over them and if our play in front of the net holds up I think we would have a great chance to win that region.

Root for a trip to Cincinnati. US Bank Arena is the only place in the world I've ever seen where RC Cola has the pouring rights.
February 25th, 2016 at 7:47 PM ^
You should probably have known that Consol Energy Center, home of the Pittsburgh Penguins, also sells RC Cola instead of real soft drinks. I learned this during the 2013 Frozen Four there (no alcohol sales at NCAA tournaments, so if you want a drink you are stuck with cola or water).

We need to start hosting regionals again.
