NCAA Football Investigation

Submitted by ijohnb on
And the verdict is....... one month late, so far. I have not heard or read one piece of valuable information, or information at all for that matter, on the direction of the NCAA investigation into practice time. Has anybody? Is the investigation on-going, or has the NCAA come to the conclusion that football players, gasp, playing football and trying to get better may not be cause for a nationwide uproar. If there is anybody in, or close, to the know as to this issue, or just wanting to speculate etc., what's the deal. What can be made of the NCAA's silence?

The free press is stankiest sack of shit in the media. They touch themselves to dantonio and his thugs. "Meanwhile at the legion of doom..." Sound familiar? It's the subconscious message we all get while reading their michigan thread.

Here's what I bet ends up happening: 1) The practice time issue results in no finding of violations 2) The NCAA finds some other minor violation for which we receive minimal to no punishment 3) The Freep declares victory and that their story is vindicated, even though the entire premise of their "investigation" is found to be wrong

It will come back as a few secondary violations and the athletic department will admonish itself by saying, "Sorry, we'll do better next time." Reggie Bush got a house and nothing has happened. I'm not too worried. Rodriguez would have already been publicly chastised if something serious was going to happen.

I believe that if RR had been found to have committed any serious violations, there would already have been an affidavit from one of the disgruntled players who left alleging "abuse," and RR would have already been fired with no buyout. In other words: "No worries, mon."

do you think the Kiffin hire says about the NCAA investigation into SC. From his perspective, mighty Trojans or not, you don't leave a program like Tennessee to take over a program soon to be decimated by sanctions, right?

This investigation about practice seems kind of ridiculous. I think the conflicting stories between players should be enough to throw out the investigation. It all seems pretty circumstantial to me.
