NCAA Football 2010 - Ps3

Submitted by Raback Omaba on
I just bought a Ps3 for the sole purpose of playing NCAA Football in a dynasty with Michigan. I guess it's my way of dealing with no football for the foreseeable future. I haven't played a video game consistently since early college, which was a while ago. I know how the games work, but what I'm asking you all is this - Tell me everything I need to do to get up and running on a Michigan dynasty. Is there somewhere to download the rosters and new recruits? What about stadium updates? Updated player ratings? How do I recruit? Like I said, tell me everything. I'm trying to get sick at that game. Let a brother know

Don't you mean the Sony Wii? Ha, I actually did the exact same thing though. I bought PS2 in '02 for NCAA '03, And then I did the same for PS3. I can't offer you anything other than the fact that roll outs really work with Tate. Also, if you go to Shotgun pass, and scroll to the last page, there is a play where all the receivers go deep, and one runs a post-type route... throw to that receiver and you're good for 24 yards at least 4 times a game. Also, if you're looking for another team to play with...Georgia Tech's offense is a BLAST to run in this game.

My girlfriend went to GaTech, so I've taken an interest in the team over the years. Their offense is unbelievable to watch, so I tried it in the game not expecting much, and boy can I move the ball effectively. Non stop options... I can see if someone uses this offense and gets used to it, they'd be almost impossible to stop. How do you manage to stay healthy with Tate running that triple option?

as he is a true freshman. They just misidentified his number. Don't take this the wrong way but Michigan is not good on the game in the first year of a Dynasty. Too slow at WR and Odoms is too short. Insert Roundtree, he has become a stud for me. I am in 2012 on the Heisman level and won the Heisman with Vincent Smith 2009 and Tate in 2011.

You have to connect to Xbox live to download rosters. I don't know if anyone has updated the roster or player ratings since last year. You might have to do it yourself or wait for a while. Recruiting isn't hard, but it's hard to explain. There are some tricks posted on other sites, but I've just done it myself. It doesn't take long to learn. Offense is easy (at least for me). I can play on Heisman and put up a ton of points. But I am bad at defense. The safeties and cornerbacks leave people wide open on just about every play on Heisman. We can only control one guy.

Yeah, it's pretty easy to use the EA Locker feature to get "real" rosters. These are a few user-names I've downloaded decent rosters from in the past. Download a few til you find a set you like. NcaaStrategies SteezDee Luvtotha9s patriotsk1d Some people update the rosters after the season, including the most recent draft class and removing seniors, so keep that in mind.

It depends who you download your roster from.. Some people have new kids like toussaint and others, but some don't and some have a lot of the guys that aren't on the team in there. Just depends, do some searches for PS3 NCAA 10 rosters, and u can find some forums where people put how updated their rosters are. I rented the game and played through a few times on my friends ps3. Pretty easy to just roll out with denard or tate for a 20 yard gain almost everytime. Still fun though. Forgot how much i liked the button sensitivity for fast passes or lobs.

then find the correct stadium sounds to use at Michigan Stadium. Someone posted (on another site's board of which I cannot remember) all of the correct MMB cuts, and you can go into the game prefs and assign the correct music to the particular circumstance...It really makes the game that much better.

Denard Robinson is unstoppable on this game. The rosters I downloaded gave him a 92 speed (blasphemy I say!), but he's just ridiculous. In my dynasty Tate Forcier had season ending injuries during all four years, but Denard came in and tore it up. I finished his career as a three time All-American and a Heisman trophy his senior year. By the time I was done he held every rushing record for us and won two MNC's.

When you get tired of it add the shotgun formation in your playbook (standard shotgun 2 WR, 1SR, 1TE and 1RB) use the z-spot (up right 3 screens to the left) and crush everyone (I've racked a 1000 yards passing in 1 game) when the WR starts its motion you'll see if you're against man coverage or zone coverage, if it's man pass to your tailback if it's zone, go to your TE who will break the zone with an outside slant, you can as well modify the rout of your SR to a slant inside, often open and you can run if everything's crowded.... Against my brother that play is already banned due to a mutual agreement.

This thread makes me a sad panda as the amount I play NCAA is usually dependent on how well Michigan is doing. Like at the beginning of football season I played it all the time and then I just stopped because it was too depressing. Never really thought of it as a coping mechanism.

My friend and I have played a cooperative dynasty with Northwestern. We load up the non-conf schedule with two really hard games (i.e. Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, USC style) and two decent BCS teams (e.g. Georgia, Oregon, WVA) and usually get to a BCS bowl game the first year and the National championship from the 2nd year on. It still takes a bunch of years before recruiting becomes really easy. The prestige starts out at 3 stars (I think) and takes a while to max out. I really love their playbook (it is very similar to Michigan's). Out of Shotgun Normal HB Wk or Shotgun Spread HB Wk, the play Curl Flat is literally unstoppable (in 2 players against the computer). The other player controls the running back and can flatten out the route or run more of a seam route depending on what the linebackers do. It still works well in 1 player mode but the RB isn't wide open as often, so you have to throw to the WR more often. We usually set our audibles up as 2 or 3 each from those two formations and do a lot of no-huddle series. Our RB almost always is the leading receiver. Another awesome play is Off-tackle from Shotgun Trips Over. If the D is in man there is nobody on the side you're running to. If you have a fast enough RB it is almost a guaranteed 30 yards. Oh man, now I want to go play.

I just got back into this game after getting my PS3 fixed. I love playing NCAA10 and I obsess about the roster a little too much. Throughout the course of the season, I must have restarted my dynasty with Michigan like 10 times because I had to uprate people when they had a good game, and then of course, the next game they had to stink it up so I had to restart my dynasty in order to downrate them. If you would like accurate PS3 rosters, download then from me. gamertag is Praetor951. I downloaded a pretty accurate roster and then made some changes of my own. Tate is an 83, with decent speed and agility, average throw power and good accuracy. Denard is a 77 or 78, with 93 speed, high agility and acceleration. Good throw power but terrible accuracy as you can imagine. Because the roster only has 69 spots, I cleaned the 2-deep for linemen and removed some 5th year seniors in order to add Lewan, Schofield, and Washington. The defense was a little harder, but there really isn't an accurate way to put our defense in the game. I do a 3-4 with Mike Martin/Sagesse/Big Will as DT and BG and RVB as opposite DE's opposite each other. Mouton and Ezeh are MLBs, and the LOLB position being the Spinner occupied by Stevie Brown. Roh/Herron are the ROLBs at rush linebacker. CB is Warren/Woolfolk/Floyd/Teric Jones, which is sort of innacurate because I had to RS JT Turner. We didn't play a whole lot of nickel in real life but not playing nickel/dime will kill you in NCAA10. Mike Williams is the FS and Kovacs is the lone SS. Anyways, I always like to create some of our best recruits too. For my dynasty that I just started a week ago, I'm recruiting Robinson/Gardner/Dorsey/Miller/Furman/Hagerup/Christian. It's hard to not be biased and make them super-recruits in the game haha. I like Auburn's playbook a lot too, which is a pretty interesting spread offense. It has some under center, but most are shotgun spread plays. There is also some wildcat, which is somewhat unstoppable and pretty unrealistic but so fun to run. I like Auburn's playbook because it includes formations with the TE as a sort of H-back, which is what we ran and passed out of earlier in the year, and has some speed option which I hope we'll utilize more (like we broke out against Iowa) Sorry for the wall of text, but hope you enjoy the game!

I"m new here and also in the first off season of a online dynasty with a small group of friends. I'm the commissioner. I can't get anything to save correctly at this point. We are at the first item for the off season schedule (players leaving). And I'll finish addressing the players, hit the start button, and exit the game. I'll go back in, load the dynasty and everything I did was not saved. I went on line and looked for answers, and it appeared that people were stating to hit the Circle button in stead. So I did this, and again it does the same thing. I'm sure I'm not the first person, I'm just struggling to get this to work. Any help would be greatly appreciated..... I'm sure I'm a moron.
