NCAA decides to count stats from western game!

That adds linebacker Brandon Herron's two defensive touchdowns to the record book, a performance which earned him national defensive player of the week honors.

It also validates Robinson's 140 total yards, Toussaint's 80 yards and two touchdowns and Jordan Kovacs' 10 tackles and two sacks.

....that shitty weather is not the fault of the teams involved. I wondered if they would ever reverse that decision, seeing as the ADs agreed to the outcome and the conferences count the stats.

I assume the bcs wasn't taking into account the western game? If thats the case then will that extra win help us a little bit?(If that game was already taken into account then this question doesn't matter)

Does anyone know if Herron eligble for a medical redshirt? I was hoping he would be if the game "didn't" count, but my thoughts are that even if it counts, he still could get another year.

Thoughts anyone?

I think there was barely a minute left in the 3rd quarter when the game was called.  Maybe if the quarter was just starting, things would be different.  But who knows what the NCAA thinks?

I'm happy to take the stats, though.

I just want to notify everyone that I almost posted this same thread...because I didn't see it on the front page. Well, I figured, maybe I should search it to avoid the SIAP tag. Yup. Here lies the same thread.

Yes, I'm patting myself on the back - it feels good.
