NCAA Basketball Tournament - Nailing Down The Final Four (Open Thread)
Alright, folks, we've got half of the Final Four - we'll know the other half today. On CBS, we have:
2:20 PM - Michigan State vs. Louisville (line is MSU -2.5, I think)
5:05 PM - Duke vs. Gonzaga (line is Duke -2.0, last I saw)
My picks in the ESPN Bracket were Louisville and Duke, but I have MSU and Gonzaga in my yearly "chaos bracket" too.
I'm skeptical of Wisco being able to replicate what ND did when UK has a week to prep for em.
Just reminds me of Michigan vs Kentucky last year where they got pummeled inside. If any of those twins get hot from the 3 on top of that, then it's a wrap.
I'll still be pulling for the Badgers. It's one of those heart vs brain situations.
They had lots of time to prep for ND. Wisconsin actually has some size. ND has none and they still almost one.
KY is big, but they are not quick. ND was very quick and had KY chasing shadows.
But Wis is slow. Their hope is to trade 3's for 2's and to not have Frank K. not get in early foul trouble.
BETTER but I will agree with better and based on what it took for Kentucky to win yesterday, better may be enough to beat the Wildcats.
Wisconsin is a legit threat to Kentucky. They draw a lot of fouls and don't foul themselves. Kentucky has no idea how to play when they're getting called for fouls.

Not true. I know of a few who actually attended Michigan who were still MSU basketball fans.. I wonder how they felt when UM got better.
I have never met a single person like you describe. That excludes people who went to State undergrad and Mich grad--most everyone cheers for their undergrad school if it was division 1.
My best friend grew up in East Lansing and his parents both went to MSU. He went to Izzo basketball camps all growing up and was a huge MSU fan. He ended up going to Michigan and eventually started cheering for Michigan basketball but never really stopped being an MSU basketball fan.

Another reason to hate Sparty is their fans booing and Izzo and his players whining after every single damn call.

Louisville's transition defense is awful. And why are teams still not chasing them off the 3 line? None of their guards will penetrate and finish. They want to shoot.
My Big 10 bones call me to root for MSU.
Can't not like the Gonzaga story ... plus, they look pretty good ... not just lucky.

I hate MSU and Louisville. MSU for obvious reasons and after the refs basically handed Michigan's National Chamipionship to the Cards, there is no way in hell I'd root for that piece of shit team. Their fans are also annoying. Imagine Buckeye and Alabama fans having kids...that's their fan base.
What's the difference between VCU's "Havok" defense and LVille's constant full court press defense?
Havok is more a constant press, constant traps, and generally playing fast. Pitino's is more just a full court press.
VCU hasn't made a serious tournament run since there one year blip.
They probably would have this year had they not lost their best player do to injury. They have went from the weak CAA to the top of the A10. That's very impressive.
