NCAA 2011 Formation Subs
Sorry if anyone is getting upset about all of the NCAA 11 posts, but I have not yet seen this topic. New to NCAA 11 is the option to sub players into what ever position you want for all different formations, this feature existed on the old generation of console games but this is the first year that the next gen console games have this option. I am starting Tate at QB, but I am wondering what are some good formations (and subsequent location) to sub in Denard for trick plays or just to run with him? I am trying some different locations but I have yet to find any trick plays where thte RB/WR has the option to pass. Any ideas from those who have messed around with this feature?
i really wish our playbook had some sort of wildcat in it so that i could utilize denard there, but i haven't really found any playbooks that could be pure denard yet
Michigan spread option offense is wildcat except that they have QBs who can run and throw.
I like to move Denard around. I have him take snaps at QB, RB, and WR. He's actually pretty effective at running back and he caught a 63 yard TD pass for me. It was all YAC too. He just outran everyone.
the punter(Gibbons) is channelling the spirit of Zoltan the Space Emperor.
Wait...our punter in the game isn't Hagerup?
Or any formation that uses the "load option" play is great for Denard. Load Option looks kind of like a Wildcat, but make sure your RB can block really well. Also, Shaw and Denard in the Ace-Big running speed option is great. Both these plays put Denard in a good position to hit a big run. I also like to use 5 wide and go QB blast with him...on occassion.
Yeah, as of righ now I have been putting him into the 5 wide. I am really trying to find a play where either the RB or WR throw the ball and I will use Denard at that position (I know those plays are in some teams playbook, just not sure who's yet).
I'm in year 3 and I line up Gardner in the slot sometimes. Runs those sweep plays really well, and i even tossed a 40 yard streak down the middle to him for a TD . He has something like a 97 acceleration in year 3 so thats ideal for runing those options and other running plays. Gotta get the fastest players on the field!
There's a formation in the game called Wild Wolverine or something like that. Anyone else see that?
You could use Alabama's playbook I really enjoy their wildcat formation and they also have a pistol formation plus all of my favorite run plays can be found somewhere in their playbook
