NC Game Open Thread
Let the comments commence. I am rooting against Calipari.
what a terrible decision - reset the 35 second clock - that was pretty fatal.
titty-tatty?
Calipari makes it all about him. If they win it's because of what he did. If they lose it's because of him. No credit to the other team whatsoever
Does anyone really believe UConn is the best team in the country? Sometimes I hate college basketball.
They could be. They beat MSU, Florida and Kentucky.
Who is better as of today?
UConn lost 6 games in a shitty conference. Nobody will ever convince me they are deserving of being called "National Champion."
Michigan lost 6 games in the Big Ten in 1989. I guess you don't call them National Champions? Michigan had 6 losses in 2013 so I guess if they beat Lousiville you wouldn't have called them National Champions?
Well if you are going to completely ignore my qualifier of being in a shitty conference, I have no interest in what you have to say.
from a shitty conference. Not saying UConn is the best team, but that does happen. Conference strength =/= has to have the best team in the country.
So how would you determine a national champion in college basketball? The 1989 team finished 3rd in the Big 10. If the Fab Five won the tournament would they have been the champs? They never won the Big 10. Last years team finished 4th in the Big 10.
Uconn was a preseason top 25 team and a 7 seed in the tournament. They finished 3rd in their conference and 2 of their losses were to Louisville and one to Cinncinnati which was ranked #7 at the time. Your arguments make no sense. They are the Champs.

They don't hand out the CBB Championship with a poll.
They won it. The end.
Yes, they won 6 games in a single elimination tournament that's an extremely shitty way to determine a champion in a sport with enormously high variability. I'm not disputing that they in fact won it. I'm saying it doesn't make them the best team in the country, and this is yet another reason why college football is vastly superior to college basketball.
I cannot imagine thinking an MNC is better than the greatest freaking tournament on Earth.
To each their own, but you just seem so unnecessarily sour. It's not like fucking Sparty won.
Well I am a little sour. I think it's BS that a team with a mediocre regular season and a record of academic achievement so poor that they couldn't even participate in last year's tournament wins a title. It's absurd. And to win it, they beat a coach who has put every program he's been at on probation. I'm sick of watching dirty programs win championships year after year.
Can't you people just let me be bitter and angry?
This is the internet. All opnions except my own are WRONG!
Yes, right now they could beat anyone in the country.
with Napier saying "FUCK THE APR" lol
Someday, guys...someday.
thought they gave us pretty damn solid coverage in OSM
Wisky got a little short changed, not that I care.
I would have thought that we'd see more of Duke and Ohio State.
Oh wait, you have to at least win a game.
was Craft in Craft position. Fantastic.
Also hard to believe UConn has 4 national championship since 99. Respect.
How can you respect a program that doesn't even attempt to educate players?
Kentucky never lead for even one second of the game.
*Snort*
they never got over the hump, and thank goodness. I don't know if they're stopping them if they ever got the lead.
but the UConn kids hung really tough - all credit to them.
so it was pretty appropriate, lol.
...is like complaining about the crappy hamburger you got at Burger King.
that would be extra impressive. I think they already have a men's /women's NC double. Not really rooting for UConn but they play ND and I find it hard to root for them in anything.
outstanding.
