Submitted by JimBobTressel-0 on

Let's say goodbye to the season. Any other NBA fans on here? It's been a while since the Fnials has made it to a Game 7.

Any good live streams?

Sheed is off to a decent start for the Celtics. Hopefully he can keep it up. I would love to see him get a 2nd ring... even if it is with Boston.

This game kind of reminds me of the Pistons/Pacers series in 2003-04. Crazy defense... but, it really doesn't compare to it as that went on for the entire series.

I am not a Lakers fan, nor am I a Celtics fan.  But on a very primal level, I see a team wearing mostly yellow (and a purple that almost looks dark blue) and a team wearing green and white, and I just have the instinctual reaction to root for the home team.  Just can't cheer for any team wearing green.

1:30 is a lot of time left but it looks like the Celtics gave this one away. It almost seems like they used all there energy in the first 3 quarters. They have been terrible thus far in the 4th.

I was about to agree with you but wow...I've never seen this many guys on both teams step up from three point range this late in a game this big.  Crazy.

EDIT:  And ANOTHER one, by Rondo...after those free throws though, it might actually be over now.  Maybe not, if we see another three...

It was a pretty good game, just another bucket at some point by the Celtics, and we might have seen a buzzer beater situation at the end.  Great series.  Hopefully the Pistons will find a way to pull themselves out of the mire and get back to this stage sooner rather than later.

I'm glad Kobe got his 5th ring. He really should be thanking his teammates who helped to keep them in the game. It was a good game, a little sloppy at the beginning but it was good till the end.

I've always liked Kobe, as a competitor he has very few rivals. Getting closer to MJ doesn't hurt either.

Tough pill to swallow last night.  At least it was a good game.  I remember predicting they would beat the Heat in 6 games but also thinking there was a good chance they could lose that series.  I never expected them to get by Cleveland or Orlando.  Definitely a good season and it was great getting to watch so many games

Finals MVP encompasses the entire series, not just game 7. Before the game there was talk that Kobe was going to win Finals MVP even if LA lost last night....that's how well he played in the first six games of the series. Yeah he struggled last night but Gasol was non existent for half the series....there's no way you could have taken him over Kobe.

Well considering only a handful of finals go the 7 game, probability would say not often.

But Kobe played well just about every game, he's entitled to a bad game. Some of the analysts felt he shot bad because after all the other players played like shit he felt he had to take the shots causing him to rush and take bad shots. You saw how much better he played offensively in the 2nd half.

Kobe also had about 15 rebounds and plays excellent D, No matter who he put it on, their numbers suffered. So yes Gasol might have been the 2nd best player on the team throughout the course of the series but Kobe was obviously the MVP.
