NBA 10 day contracts and an update on Manny Harris and Darius Morris

Submitted by dc22 on

Manny Harris will not be resigned by the lakers at the conclusion of his 2nd 10 day contract: http://www.lakersnation.com/lakers-news-team-will-not-sign-manny-harris-to-another-contract/2014/02/04/

Darius Morris has signed a 10 day contract with the grizzlies after having two such contracts with the clippers:

Good luck to both of them and hope they can land longer contracts. A look into the cycle of NBA 10 day contracts:

Manny is helping his case for a contract with another team by having a great performance in his last lakers game: 15 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist with about 10 mins left in the game.

I was a little surprised by this. Right now Nick Calathes is their starting PG with Mike Conley out at least a week. Hopefully if Morris plays well while Mike Conley is out, he can get stick with them for the rest of the season.

but after two 10-day contracts they'd have to sign him for the rest of the season, and they have a couple of guys healthy again and returning.

At least there's this:

Harris will eventually land somewhere as he is far too talented to not make an NBA roster at some point. He is a hard nosed player who isn’t afraid to take his shot when he sees it.
