National Championship Game Open Thread

Submitted by M-Wolverine on

Well, it'll probably be a short thread, since everyone has already said they're not watching tonight. But for those that are, it's the end of college football on the field for awhile. Gameday on. Pregame in about half an hour.  It'll keep us busy till the Two and a Half Men Open thread starts later tonight.

Haven't seen a single Bama ball carrier who isn't hanging on to the ball as if his life depended on it..an obvious point of emphasis..LSU won many games by forcing fumbles-int-special teams play

So both of these teams have put up points this year vs other teams. I get that but did they score most of their points on defense and special teams? I don't care how good these defenses are, the offenses are just plain awful. Why don't they recruit QBs?

Giving credit to LSU for giving up yards but not touchdowns!  Seem to remember the Sugar Bowl playing out the same way.  Yet we were getting dominated on both sides of the ball by VT.  Why is this guy still on tv.  Ughh.

I only watch Michigan on ESPN during bowl season. I'm beginning to hate what the "four letter network" is becoming, both editorially, and as a five dollar a month addition to my TV bill.

Another title is that no one will be talking about Urban Meyer being the best coach in college football anymore.

<br>That and the agonizing "what could have been"'s for MSU.

I'm there with you. The only reason I'm interested in this game is for scouting purposes for next year. They said Richardson is leaving and they mentioned that their OC is going to Colorado State. It looks like they have 8 starting seniors that will be gone and who knows how many juniors. I hope they win just so there's a more likely chance for people to leave early for the draft. Anything to make the UM match up next year a bit easier.

I dunno man, Alabama/LSU Vol. 1 was pretty damn boring as well.  I'm not watching this game but I can only imagine it's as boring as the first considering the stats.  Probably looks just like our game where one team ran down the field and choked every time while the other looked just plain bad...
