It sure beats "La-ah" (pronounced La-dash-ah). When my friend pronounced it incorrectly she replied "Naw honey that dash aint silent!"

...but perhaps better than La/ah, which would be "la-backslash-ah", and because it has variables in common, can also be simplified to L/h.

My mom used to talk about some of the ridiculous names she saw when she used to work at a hospital. I remember her telling me about la-ah. Looks like little dash is all grown up. That just leaves the question on how little Pajama is doing...
It is simply stunning what people will name their kids. Espn (pronounced espin) was pretty classy IME.

had her alltime favorite newborn name with "Propeesha," great name for a little girl...poor choice and a phonetic spelling on top of it.
