Slated to start at 5:34 pm but the US women are still playing the women's final vs Mexico (up 45-0 at the half). The men's match will start shortly after the women finish.

Apparently the loser of the men's final can still qualify for the Olympics by winning a 16 nation tounrnament later in the year.

Thanks for the heads up. Been a whole since I've seen the US 7's team. Surprised to see Test on the bench. He's been the workhorse of past teams. Regardless, good start for the team. But it'll be tough to hand on with a guy in the penalty to start the second half.

Off to Rio.  Why can't we get some very good football players that aren't NFL good and turn them into rugby players?  We would own this sport.

Can't believe nbc sports didn't cover it live on tv.

I watched the collegiate championship recently(still can't believe they didn't put michigan games on during live tv coverage).

I have seen the usa team in the past and believe this sport will be very popular in the future.

Fiji, South Africa, and New Zealand are the top three.  England and Australia are close behind, but not quite as consistent.  USA, Argentina, and Scotland are in the third tier of contenders.

USA won their first Sevens World Series cup final in London last month!
